The Stable offers all you need for a comfortable Cornish holiday for one or two guests. Recently refurbished, it retains traditional features mixed with modern style and amenities. Decorated with fresh colours of the sea, it is a reminder that you are within easy reach of the beautiful Cornish coastline. A quaint sixteenth century thatched pub, cafe and general store are within walking distance. Two world class gardens and a idyllic waterside inn are close-by.

The space
The converted Stable is a self-contained studio style property. It comprises compact yet comfortable accommodation. The stable door opens into an entrance area, which leads through to the kitchen, dining and sleeping area. There is a separate well appointed shower room. The zip link bed offers the choice of either two single beds, OR a super king bed. (Photos show both options and guests will be asked for their preference before arrival, if no preference is indicated a super king bed will be provided). The enclosed outdoor seating area offers privacy to the front of the property and the opportunity to eat al fresco and relax after a busy day. There is also off-road parking.
The kitchenette has a two-ring ceramic hob, sink, extractor fan, toaster, kettle, fridge with freezer compartment and a combination microwave, oven and grill. It is equipped with all you need to cater for meals throughout the day. The general village store, quaint thatched Red Lion pub and Awna café are within walking distance. In addition, the world class gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan offer café facilities, and the idyllic Ferryboat Inn, which sits on the shore of the magical Helford River, is just a five-minute drive or, if you want to work up an appetite, a short coastal walk away. The coast path is easily accessible and takes in the dramatic scenery between the historic maritime town of Falmouth and the sailing waters of the tranquil Helford River, inspiration for the creative writing of Daphne Du Maurier. Falmouth is a very pretty ten-minute drive along the coast, and offers an abundance of shops and excellent places to eat a wide variety of local produce, and foods from around the world.

Mawnan Smith is an idyllic Cornish village situated between the beautiful Helford River and sandy beaches of Falmouth bay. The village centres around the Red Lion, a 16th century, handsome thatched public house. Mawnan Old Church, perched above the mouth of the beautiful Helford River, is a quiet haven of peace and is situated beside the coastal path. Many hidden coves and hamlets, such as Durgan and Helford Passage are definitely worth a visit. Two wonderful sub-tropical gardens are located within walking distance, and the vibrant harbour town of Falmouth is only a ten minute drive or a short bus ride away.

I was born and brought up in Falmouth. I live with my wife Jayne. We have two adult sons. We enjoy exploring the beautiful Cornish coastline and countryside. We like nothing better than a walk along the coastal path. The views are breath taking at any time of the year. We are lucky to be within walking distance of fantastic gardens, hidden coves, beaches and the Helford River. The vibrant town of Falmouth, with its colourful Harbour, water sports, promenade and castle are close by. We love that Cornwall has such a diverse and dramatic landscape. We are sure that you will love it too.
