Our cool and relaxed double bedroom apartment is located 4 mi. from downtown Austin. It comfortably fits a larger group and is cozy and private enough for a couples getaway. Enjoy wifi, easy access to Capital Metro. Less than 15 min from airport.
Come stay in my guest quarters which is about 700 square feet of space connected to my main house. My guest space has a private front entrance facing South 1st St, a full private bathroom, and a bedroom that is more like 2 rooms and has 3 beds. There is also a good sized living room and dining room that connect my main house by a locked door for privacy.
Our location is off of South 1st Street and very convenient into town. Circuit of the Americas is less than 15 minute drive. We usually hop on the bus for a ten minute ride to 6th st and Congress. Our house actually faces South 1st Street so the bust stop to go down town is across the street and a few steps north near St. Elmo St. The bus coming back drops you off just 4 houses from our house so it is very convenient.
Although the space is connected to my home, it is very private and connected by a locked door. Inquire about access to the main kitchen/laundry areas. I live in the main house and do have a dog, and although he does run around the house, he won't have access to your private quarters.
Guests have wifi, cable TV, fridge, coffee maker. If you need access to main kitchen and/or laundry inquire to make arrangements. If you have a dog the back yard is a nice place for him to get some fresh air.
Interaction with Guests
We live in the attached main area but since it is connected by a locked door we may not see each other. Of course if you have any questions or you go to the back porch for some fresh air we will definitely say "hi".
Our home is located just 4 miles south of the Texas State Capitol Building and 5 miles south of the University of Texas. We are parallel to SoCo, a neighborhood located on South Congress Avenue. A nationally-known shopping and cultural district famous for its many eclectic small retailers, restaurants, music and art venues and, of course, food trucks
Capital Metro is a reliable source of transportation. The stop is just a walk 4 houses down. If you have your own car, there is plenty of parking in the premises.
Like we say in Spanish "Mi casa es su casa" My home is your home, where you can feel at home while respecting it as you respect your own home. I am looking for guests that are looking for a great experience in Austin. Communication is the key to having a positive experience, feel free to ask me anything that I may have missed or to clarify anything.
I can't think of a better experience for my first time using AirBnB. Edith's property was easy to get to and centrally located to all we needed. Communication was excellent and she answered our questions promptly. The living space was clean and quiet and accessed easily. Overall, Awesome!
Edith was very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. Our stay was very short (only one night) so our interaction was limited, however, she was friendly and cheerful. Her place was as described.
Edith is great! Place was clean and tidy but homy too. There is no kitchen in the space but Edith allowed us to use her kitchen to prepare breakfast and smoothies! Thank you again! Any time we needed something Edith responded quickly to our text messages.
Road noise was loud but I live in the country so I'm not use to so much traffic! Great location with so many places within a few minutes of the place.
Great experience, would do again!
Everything was as advertised. Edith and her family were nice and didn't intrude on our space. The washer/dryer are in the main house, but we didn't ever have trouble getting time with them through Edith.
In the beginning, I thought I rented 2 bedroom house (my mistake! , Should of read it more carefully), but her place is awesome and I didn't get in trouble with my wife!
Edith was a fantastic host! The space is attached to the main house with a locked door. We couldn't hear anything from the main house, even their dog. There were plenty of towels, large area to play (3.5 and 8 year old), and large fridge. She supplied water and soda's, which was great. I called to ask if she had a spare heater, and she actually bought a new heater for us! That was super kind of her. We also Texted to borrow an iron and her Boyfriend handed one over in 2 mins. We had an amazing time in Austin and a wonderful stay. You would love it here.
Traveled to Texas for Print Austin for 3 nights and the stay here was great. We were greeted, shown the place, and given cell numbers if we needed to contact them about anything. Very private/cozy/awesome experience.

Teacher, single mother and all around busy! I am currently training for my first full marathon, so if you're into running I can show you some great places in town for this! I enjoy the outdoors and relaxing with family and friends. If you need any pointers while in Austin please feel free to ask!
