Circuit of the Americas

House - Private room · S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745, United States

Our cool and relaxed double bedroom apartment is located 4 mi. from downtown Austin. It comfortably fits a larger group and is cozy and private enough for a couples getaway. Enjoy wifi, easy access to Capital Metro. Less than 15 min from airport.

The Space

Come stay in my guest quarters which is about 700 square feet of space connected to my main house. My guest space has a private front entrance facing South 1st St, a full private bathroom, and a bedroom that is more like 2 rooms and has 2 queen beds. There is also a good sized living room and dining room that then connect to the kitchen of my main house.

Our location is off of South 1st Street and very convenient into town. circuit of hte Americas is less than 15 minute drive. We usually hop on the bus for a ten minute ride to 6th st and Congress. Our house actually faces South 1st Street so the bust stop to go down town is across the street and a few steps north near St. Elmo St. The bus coming back drops you off just 4 houses from our house so it is very convenient.

There is an additional private room downstairs that is empty where we can have air mattresses to accommodate additional guest (inquire for additional cost per person).

Although the space is connected to my home, it is very private and closed off. You will have access to the shared kitchen/dining/washer/dryer areas. I live in the main house and do have a dog, and although he does run around the house, he won't have access to your private quarters.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Edith was a delightful host, she was able to accommodate us at late notice and made sure the home was clean and well prepared for our group in a matter of hours. Short driving distance to downtown Austin, would recommend!

  • Edith and her family were very kind and welcoming. She made us feel at home and welcome to use the kitchen and laundry too, which are in the main (their) part of the house. She was also very accommodating when there was a little issue with the room at check-in. The accommodations are very nice and surprisingly spacious! They even added a microwave to the apartment that, along with the mini-fridge, made it very feasible to make food there and still have privacy. The location is very convenient too, and it was super nice to be able to park right at the front door. Edith really went out of her way to make our stay a great experience! We would highly recommend her place! Oh, and their dog is really sweet too and played nicely with our little dog and baby :)

  • Edith's guest house was perfect for three race fans to crash while attending the USGP at the Circuit of the Americas. We were close to the track, Congress Ave (good food and drinks), and downtown Austin (F1 fan fest). Her place was nice, clean, and very welcoming. She even provided some race related amenities.

  • I screwed up my reservation and arrived a week early! Edith was pretty surprised to see me! But she took it all in stride with good humor. Fortunately, the room hadn't been booked for that week. She was very gracious and eager to be of help in any way. The room was very clean with a private bath and fluffy, whiter than white towels.

  • Edith is a gracious hostess and she recommended several local attractions and restaurants for us to try. The house is spacious and very tidy. The atmosphere is cool and relaxed, and with just a short drive to downtown it was exactly what we needed. I recommend Edith's BnB to others and would return myself if I find myself in Austin.

  • Edith is a wonderful host! The room is clean and comfortable and perfectly set up. It was nice that we could come in and out without feeling like we were bothering her family.

She did everything she could to make our stay a nice one. I would definitely stay there again.

  • A group of girl friends and I wanted a place to stay while we came into town for two nights during SXSW. Edith's guest house was available, so we went with it. Edith was very hospitable, from even before we finally got there. The guest house is quite spacious and very clean. She had nearly everything that we might have possible needed during our stay readily available. Edith was very knowledgable about Austin, where to go, how to get there, and even showed us how to us the transt system. I would DEFINITELY recommend anyone visiting Austin to stay with Edith; she was a wonderful host, very accomadation, and best, is very nice and hospitable!
