A private room on the first floor of a really cool old 3 story home w/ full bathroom and kitchen in the lovely Old Village of Mt. Pleasant. Nothing posh or fancy, but it's a very cute and homey place to be.
I have one unit in a 3 story - 6 unit old Charleston home. The building has so much character and every unit is different. The neighborhood is the BEST and sunsets on Shem Creek can't be beat. The guestroom has a futon that sleeps 2 comfortably. 1 more can sleep on the couch if needed at no extra charge (it's comfy)
Full access to the guest room, bathroom, living room and kitchen. Make yourself at home.
Interaction with Guests
I am super friendly and will gladly hang out with you and show you around if I am home. I also can respect your privacy and leave you be. Just let me know how I can make your trip as enjoyable as possible.
Ask anybody from Mt. Pleasant where they want to live and you will almost always hear "The Old Village". It is a peaceful and beautiful neighborhood.
You can walk to the water, restaurants, bars, and convenient store. You will need a car or bike if you wish to get to grocery stores, beach or downtown. Public transportation is not very good.
You can come and go as you please at any hour. Just be mindful of the neighbors if it's early or late. My wife is allergic to animals, so no pets please. If you take it out, put it back when you're done. I'm pretty easy to deal with. Hope you enjoy the trip!
The apartment was very comfortable, clean and very convenient to downtown Charleston. Graham was extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. He offered to tell us where to eat and visit which would have been great if we didn't already have a local friend/guide. Our stay was even more then we expected and we would happily stay there again.
Graham and Courtney are fantastic hosts! Such nice people, seasoned travelers that you feel like you already know them when you've just met. Energy, excitement, clear love and willingness to show off "his city". Easy to get a hold of/communicate with. Place is as advertised. Great deal, great little spot in the old village. And within a leisurely 40 minute bicycle ride to the heart of peninsular Charleston.
Graham is a wonderful host and his home is warm and welcoming. It was my first visit to South Carolina and my first experience with Airbnb and I must say that on both counts my expectations were exceeded. The place itself is situated in a beautiful old building close to the local harbor and restaurants and the drive to Charleston is short and pleasant (mostly due to the amazing Ravenel Bridge). I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is planning a trip to SC.
Graham is the best....!
We had a great time , he introduced us to his friends and made us make an unforgettable night.
The house is beautiful and clean.
Had a great stay at Graham's place. Graham was really accommodating to our group and his place was in a really cool spot. Convenient to get to bars, restaurants, and downtown Charleston. Would definitely stay with him again.
Great location only 10 minutes from downtown Charleston. The house had a lot of character and Graham was great at communicating anything we might need to know. The whole apartment to ourselves was also a treat.
First time doing this. I'm relocating from Buffalo NY and our appt wasn't going to be ready till Oct 10th so a friend of the family told me about the site and decided to give it a shot. I was a little skeptical in the beginning but finally did it and don't regret it. The host was wonderful keeping the line of communication open at all times, which it made me comfortable. Helped me online as I was encounter problems with the reservation. The place was described to the T and clean. We got there and there was a welcome msg and instructions on how to use different things. The entire house was available to us and neighbors were nice, close and covinient to shopping centers, beach, restaurants etc. We had a fantastic time. Will definitely recommend this place...Thank you!!!
I have three basic loves in life: my wife, teaching children and travel. While at home I manage a youth gymnastics facility. Give me more than two days off in a row and I am going to explore. If I haven't been there, I want to go there. Once there, I want to hang out with the locals and see what life is really like. Hopefully our paths will cross one day!
