Kelsey was very kind and worked with us on our arrival/ departure dates, as well as left us coffee and a nice bottle of wine. The neighborhood is very convenient if you're there for SXSW. And the house served us well. It has all the amenities you need and is close to a grocery store and some pretty nice restaurants too. I enjoyed the back porch for morning coffee and to listen to the birds.
Kelsey was a wonderful host! Before the stay she was very accommodating, and easy to work with. My account had a problem with Airbnb and she was really patient and helpful! She provided us with great information and activities for Austin before we arrived and ensured we had a great stay. Everything in her home was clean and super comfortable. Beds were great, amenities were spotless. I would definitely return for my next trip to Austin. Recommended for anyone looking for a nice and comfortable stay with a great host in Austin! Thanks, Kelsey!
My college housemates hold a reunion every year, and we elected SXSW for 2013. Kelsey's place was a great base from which to head downtown: clean, a very quick five minute cab ride (or 30 minute walk) to the bars and clubs, and easily slept seven of us. We really enjoyed coffee on the patio before starting the trip to the festival, and there are some very good BBQ and Mexican places nearby. Kelsey was really helpful when our needs for check-in times changed, and she was in touch all weekend if we needed something. Recommended, especially for SX.
My friends and I were scouring AirBnB for a well-priced and cozy accommodation for SXSW 2012. We lucked out when Kelsey posted her humble abode, which is comfortable, elegant and all things wonderful. Not only did she give us access to her great home and lovely backyard, but she also gave us a well-thought-out list of restaurants/bars/stores to check out around East Austin! One of the best experiences I've ever had on AirBnB. I'd gladly recommend her and do this again next year!
About the Host, Kelsey
We are both educators. Josh is a Montessori teacher and I teach high school Spanish. We love music and the arts, creating a conscious and loving environment for our son to grow up in, preparing delicious meals and getting inspired by nature. Josh is a original Austin- ite and I'm a transplant. We both love where we live and wouldn't trade Austin for anywhere in the world. Although, we are avid travelers when money and time allow it.
