Guest access

Double bedroom; private bathroom (with towels, shampoo & shower gel), living room for breakfast and evenings, after 20:00hrs; terrace (until 22:00hrs); off-street parking (please advise us if it is needed). There is access to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

Interaction with guests

We are here to help, or will leave you to it - as you wish! We live on the premises too, but as you get half the house and the terrace, there is plenty of privacy and space to relax/get work done.

The neighborhood

Clontarf is a well-known Dublin Bay village and is near the City Centre and Dublin Airport, as well as Eastpoint Business Park and the IFSC, so it's great for the tourist or the business traveller alike. We love the friendly vibe of our "Village in the City" as it is known, and especially love all there is to offer here for foodies and walkers alike! There are numerous restaurants and cafes, as well as golf, the beach, a nature reserve and the old Guinness family demesne, St Anne's Park. Anyone visiting us will not only feel welcome in our home, but will find that there is so much to do in Clontarf, before you take the bus (at the end of the road) to the City, Trinity, etc. as well as the famous and historic fishing villages of Howth or Malahide - our guests don't have to go far to find beautiful places to see!

Getting around

The bus to the City Centre is at the end of our road, while parking is off-street in our driveway; we will collect and drop to the airport in evenings or any time at the weekend (€20), or otherwise, a taxi will take c. 20 minutes and €25-27. There is also a bus direct from the airport, non-stop to the City Centre, where guests can then take the 130 bus to us! The 130 takes c. 20 mins from the City Centre to the end of our road. We are also close to the City Centre, Eastpoint Business Park and the IFSC, which is ideal for business travellers.

Other things to note

We provide complementary towels, shampoo and shower gel and a self-service Continental breakfast with coffee or tea. There is also a hair dryer available on request. Free, reliable Wi-Fi (240MB) is also available, as well as free parking. We also use a local taxi company for guests/business travellers.

Leigh Ann is the most thoughtful and accommodating host you could ever hope for. Having your own living area to yourself is a wonderful extra as is the kitchen and back patio. It's a short walk to the water and the bus to downtown. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place near Dublin.

Leigh-Ann and David were great! They have a lovely home in a peaceful and quiet part of Dublin. Every morning we were greeted with a nice breakfast and every evening we returned to a cleaned and organized room with the bed made to help us relax on our vacation. You're only 15 minutes by taxi to downtown Dublin and a few minutes to the closest DART station can bring you to all surrounding areas as well. If you're looking for a great place to stay with great hosts during your trip to Dublin, I would highly recommend staying at Leigh-Ann's!

Leigh-Ann and David are great hosts. It is just like visiting friends. The bed is so comfortable just perfect for a good nights sleep. House is in a quite residential area. Everything is left for an easy continental breakfast in the morning which was perfect for us. The location is just a very short walk to Clontarf seafront which is beautiful. We enjoyed a lovely long walk across the bridge to Bull island and along the beach which goes on for ever. There are plenty of good restaurants in Clontarf. I would recommend Kennedy's for a nice lunch. there is a beautiful park nearby St Anne's which is great if you are a jogger or enjoy leisurely walks and as a bonus there is a really nice coffee shop in the park. We were driving while we stayed in Clontarf but Leigh-Anns place is convenient for the bus service No 130 which goes from the seafront right into Dublin City Centre. The buses are very frequent and it only takes 15 mins to get into city. Thank you Leigh-Ann and David for a great stay

This is a lovely home and as described you get a private bathroom, living room and bedroom. There is no lack of space. Our initial concern of it being outside of downtown turned out to not even be a factor. The bus is easy to catch and took about 10 minutes to get to the city center. Tea, coffee and croissants were provided along with jam, toast and granola! Just a short walk from a pub where we got to enjoy the 6 Nations match between Ireland and England. It was nice to have a place that wasn't packed with tourists. Would definitely stay here again!

I have just returned from nine wonderful nights staying in Leigh-Ann's home in Dublin while visiting my daughter and my friends. My room, bathroom and shared areas were absolutely super. Everything was immaculate and the breakfast goodies were a real bonus. The location is great for access to public transport but if you have a car, as I did, there is also parking available which is very handy. Truth be told though, parking is a nightmare and driving in congested streets in Dublin are not fun, so avail of public transport if you can. The real added value of staying at Leigh-Ann's home is Leigh-Ann. Leigh-Ann is a dynamo with personality to burn. She is totally committed to helping her guests enjoy their stay in her home and and have a fantastic time while visiting Dublin. Leigh-Ann has a beautiful family and it was wonderful to be able to spend some time with them as well.

The family was very kind and helpfull. They take care of their guests. The room was clean and the bed so big and comfortable! The living-room and the bathroom were clean too. The Best thing was the delicious breakfast! The city centre is just at 20 min by bus, it is very practical. We recommend this Airbnb!!! Thanks you Leigh-Ann!!

My husband, little girl and I love good, healthy food, plenty of fresh air and travelling. We love meeting new people and have always had good feedback from those who have enjoyed a stay in our home. Reading, jogging and music also feature in our lives, as well as seeing our friends and family on a regular basis. As the Promenade and the beach are literally at the end of our road, we spend a lot of time walking there, as well as in St Anne's Park, also local to us. With the excellent restaurants and cafes of Clontarf and the City Centre on our doorstep, the things we love most doing are there for the taking - so, please come and join us!
