About this listing
Best location in Copenhagen (short walk from central station+center in bohemian area Vesterbro with cafés, restaurant and bars), newly renovated apartment, host who is a specialist on Danish culture. Light room with double bed/couch and big cupboard.
A room in a large, renovated apartment in bohemian Vesterbro. The apartment is located where all the cafés, trendy shops and night life is in Vesterbro and only 7 minutes walk from the Central Station and another 7 minutes walk to the Town Hall square. Possibly the best location in Copenhagen :-)
Your bedroom has a new, two-person sofabed and a large cupboard. There is a big window facing the yard.
There is of course free wifi connection, and I'll supply you with towel(s), bed linnen etc.
Feel at home, and use my washing machine, dish washer, old bikes (if they are available - be aware they are very old, and male frame), hair dryer, shampoo/shower gel, tea, coffee and basic kitchen stuff. If you would like prepare-it-yourself-breakfast, we can work that out too.
THE APARTMENT is 105 m2 and a good example of the renovation that Copenhagen City carried out in this area with a totally new bathroom, kitchen etc - in fact the apartment is a merger of 2 smaller apartments.
I am a working independently with Human Resources and specifically how foreigners with longer educations (expats) can integrate in Copenhagen. I have lived abroad (US, Argentina, Austria) and travelled a lot in my life.
I will be happy to offer advice on what to see and do, I have guide books you can borrow, and if I have time, I can take you for a walk in the neighborhood if you are interested.
Many days and nights I am busy and you are in any case perfectly fine just doing your own thing.
I speak good English and Spanish, and would be happy to practice French and German, too :-)
Next to the room is a room with a table, and a single bed that can be booked separately (see the other posting), but if there are no guests, you can use also use it as your own "living room". The nice bathroom is shared, and you will have access to the kitchen and the common living room most of the time - some evenings after 8 PM I might be using it for myself.
Interaction with Guests
I will be happy to introduce to Copenhagen if you like, I have maps and guidebooks on Copenhagen, Denmark and Scandinavia you can use. I work during normal work hours, sometimes I am busy at night, sometimes not.
The apartment is located where all the cafés, trendy shops and night life is in Vesterbro. Possibly the best location in Copenhagen :-)

Super nice guy,he even bring a huge architecture book to explain the building witch I interest to visit,I will say thank you again...
My friend and me stayed at Jens's house for 4 days, it was a really nice experience. Jens is really kind and gave us an useful and clear travelling guide. He is easy to talk, although we were quite introvert, he was still friendly to us. He made us feel as comfortable as at home.
The location was really nice, near the train station and easy to find that we could walk to wherever we wanted. The room was cosy and tidy, the bathroom and kitchen were also great! We went out late everyday, because the room was so comfortable that we didn't want to go out. We had a nice time in Copenhagen! If I have chances to go to there again, I will probably choose Jens's house again.
My friend and I decided to travel to Copenhagen over our New Year's break, and we could not have been happier with our decision! Jens' apartment in Vesterbro was absolutely perfect. It is a great neighborhood if you are looking for a place with a good nightlife, and its walkable to everything. The apartment is clean and well-lit, and Jens made sure we felt welcome during our stay. We really enjoyed our time with him- he was more than happy to answer our many questions about Danish culture :) He also provided an excellent guide of things to do/see/eat, which we used often throughout our trip. We hope to come back and see Jens again someday!
The place was cozy and well located, about 10 minutes from the central station, if you want, you can even walk to all the attractions since the city is not that big. Lots of restaurants and cafe in the neighborhood, and several supermarkets if you prefer to cook.
Jens was a great host, always wanted to make sure that we are comfortable, and he gave us lots of suggestions about how to make the most of our trip. (His neighbor was super nice as well!)
We had a great time!
Jens was a superb host- nothing was too much trouble. Knowing we wanted to cycle around the city, he bought a bike for us to use! Jens gave us lots of suggestions about where to eat, drink and hang out to see the real Copenhagen. And what an amazing city it is: as first-time visitors we were struck by how friendly everyone was and how much fun cycling around the city is. It's fair to say that we took full advantage of Jens' suggestions and we had a ball! We would recommend Jens and Vesterbro to everyone.

About the Host, Jens
I am an expert on Danish culture :-) I work as an external HR-consultant, helping high skilled foreigners getting to know Copenhagen, Denmark and Danish work place culture. As a part of that I do sight-seeing tours in Copenhagen, social events and hold courses on Danish culture (company name: Work & Life Denmark).
Therefore, if time permits when you are visiting, I might be able to give you advice on what to see and do, and I have made a little introduction to my recommended places to go in Vesterbro (this area of town).
Besides that, I have lived for periods in the US, Argentina and Austria and travelled quite a lot on all continents - I like cultural exchange.
Many nights and days I am busy, and you are always perfectly fine just doing your own thing. I prefer nice and respectful travelers.
I speak fluent English and Spanish, and would be happy to practice French and German, too :-)
