Lovely room on lively Vesterbro

Apartment - Private room · Eskildsgade, Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark 1657, Denmark

The Space

A room in a large, renovated apartment in bohemian Vesterbro. The apartment is located where all the cafés, trendy shops and night life is in Vesterbro and only 7 minutes walk from the Central Station and another 7 minutes walk to the Town Hall square. Possibly the best location in Copenhagen :-)

Your bedroom has a new, two-person sofabed and a large cupboard. There is a big window facing the yard. Next to it is a room with a table, and a single bed that can be booked separately (see the other posting), but if there are no guests, you can use also use it as your own "living room". The nice bathroom is shared, and you will have access to the kitchen and the common living room most of the time - some evenings after 8 PM I might be using it for myself.

There is of course free wifi connection, and I'll supply you with towel(s), bed linnen etc.

Feel at home, and use my washing machine, dish washer, old bikes (if they are available - be aware they are very old, and male frame), hair dryer, shampoo/shower gel, tea and basic kitchen stuff. If you would like prepare-it-yourself-breakfast, we can work that out too.

THE APARTMENT is 105 m2 and a good example of the renovation that Copenhagen City carried out in this area with a totally new bathroom, kitchen etc - in fact the apartment is a merger of 2 smaller apartments.

I am a working independently with Human Resources and specifically how foreigners with longer educations (expats) can integrate in Copenhagen. I have lived abroad (US, Argentina, Austria) and travelled a lot in my life.

I will be happy to offer advice on what to see and do, I have guide books you can borrow, and if I have time, I can take you for a walk in the neighborhood if you are interested.
Many days and nights I am busy and you are in any case perfectly fine just doing your own thing.

I speak good English and Spanish, and would be happy to practice French and German, too :-)

  • It was my first time with airbnb and I was lucky. Jens is a very friendly host. He gave us great tips about restaurants, pubs and other things about CPH. The house is very beautiful, quiet and close to the city center. Rooms are comfortable, well illuminated and beautifully designed. If you want to spend a great time in Copenhagen Jens is highly recommended!!

  • Jens's appartment was well located, it was easy to get around the city from there. Busses run close and it took about 10 minutes walk to central train station. The appartment was clean. Our room was big enough for two persons and there is shared living room and kitchen as well. Kitchen was well-equipped and cooking there would have been easy if we had stayed longer.

Jens was great host, he gave us space and privacy but also wanted ensure that we have great stay at Copenhagen. He very kindly told us about good bars, restaurants etc in Norrebro, places you might not find yourself.

We would gladly stay at Jens's again and can sincerely recommend his place!

  • I and my friend spent a very short time in Copenhagen and Jens house was strategic for visiting the center (the old city). Very close to the station and comfortable room.
Jens is very friendly and gave us good advice to visit the main attractions. Tivoli park is also very close to Vesterbro, I regret to can't visit it because the park was closed in winter, so don't miss it if you go in the summer, I 've read about a Jazz festival in it.

  • You won't find a better host than Jens in the whole world! This was my first time in Denmark and I have to thank him for the amazing experience I had. He answered to all my questions, helped me with all my doubts, gave me fantastic tips about the city and made a great Danish dinner for me and two other hosts who were staying there. The flat is perfectly located, clean, cosy, beautiful, warm and comfortable. I enjoyed every second in there. No doubt I'll stay there again if I ever go to Copenhagen again.

I am an expert on Danish culture :-) I work as an external HR-consultant, helping high skilled foreigners getting to know Copenhagen, Denmark and Danish work place culture. As a part of that I do sight-seeing tours in Copenhagen, social events and hold courses on Danish culture (company name: Work & Life Denmark). Therefore, if time permits when you are visiting, I might be able to give you advice on what to see and do, and I have made a little introduction to my recommended places to go in Vesterbro (this area of town). Besides that, I have lived for periods in the US, Argentina and Austria and travelled quite a lot on all continents - I like cultural exchange. Many nights and days I am busy, and you are always perfectly fine just doing your own thing. I prefer nice and respectful travelers. I speak fluent English and Spanish, and would be happy to practice French and German, too :-)
