  • The room and bath are clean and private, and the public areas in the house are well-appointed with everything you need. Chiara met us there and gave us a lot of information to help us get oriented, and was easy to get hold of when we needed something.

The room is exceptionally well-located, near the Coliseum and Forum, and also very close to the subway station. Only one subway stop away from the Termini train station. It is a great, convenient home base.

Of particular note -- there are lots of guide books for the city in the lobby as you enter the house. We had our own, but did borrow a smaller one to use while exploring the city.

This particular room and bath are below ground and they are pretty small by USA standards, but they are very nice. Considering the friendly helpful host, cleanliness and charm of the home, and the excellent location, this was a great value and I would highly recommend it for travelers on a budget, as well as travelers new to Rome.

  • Very good place, near all the monuments. We didn't see Chiara but his father Guido was very professional and helpfull. The room and the bathroom were very clean. (For information, the room is in the underfloor).

  • Everything went smoothly. The location is fantastic and the interior is really nice. We stayed in the basement where it was nice and cool, and there was still a small window. Guido was very helpful and friendly. If we went back to Rome, we would stay at Chiara and Guido's B&B!

  • The b&b was great! The location is perfect - it's central and pretty simple to find, very close to the Cavour metro. The room and bathroom was good for what we needed, and the hosts were very helpful! Would definitely recommend for anyone staying in Roma!

  • We had a lovely 3-day weekend in Rome. Guido gave us a warm welcome and explained us the best things to visit. The room is very cosy en clean. The B&B is situated in a calm & typical neighbourhood with nice restaurants. The breakfast is served in a hotel or bar nearby which is very nice (we ate (email hidden)). We would definitely go back here when visiting Rome again.

  • Lovely B&B, very charming and clean and close to the centre of Rome. Within walking distance to must major sites. Our host was prompt and offered many suggestions for seeing Rome. There are many restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely recommend Rome of charme Rome Colossseum.

  • Situation centrale dans la ville de Rome. Accueil sympathique. Décoration raffinée et atmosphère chaleureuse.
Mais la chambre et la salle de bain sont situées dans le sous sol sans fenêtre.
Le wifi n'a pas fonctionné durant tout le séjour.

    Response from Chiara:

    Dear Bruno
thanks a lot for your balanced feedback.
We apologize if Internet connection was not available due to a provider breakdown. This has been promptly repaired in the mean time. Let me also update on the other points:
Aeration of the bathroom is ensured through 2 separate fans. One operates automatically every hour and the second can be triggered on demand. We know this is not ideal, but our guests consider it generally sufficient. Other rooms in B&B have direct aeration through windows.
The room is provided with a (small) window.
    kind regards

  • I enjoyed my stay here. Chiara's father met me only minutes after I arrived and gave me a tourist map and tips on what to see and how. Both Chiara and Guido are very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean, quiet, and warm (it was quite cold in Rome). It's located near a metro station in a wonderful neighborhood full of restaurants and you can walk to the Colosseum!
