    Response from Silvio:

    Grazie Vanja

  • First I want to say thank you Silvio for giving me housing, and to say that the money was to debited from the account
from the card to the extent to which we agreed. In his review, I want to be objective,
so I will tell the pros and cons. I'll start with the cons.

    1. Yet for all correspondence Silvio answered very briefly, not fast and not in detail.
Rare exceptions were before the booking has been issued. Furthermore, it very intrusive offered to go to the pizzeria across the street, it sounded like an advertisement. It
seems that when a person has pecuniary interest with this pizzeria.

    2. Drew attention to the fact that Silvio has several apartments, which means that it does not direct the owner is likely to broker

    3. when he ordered taxi, No about the nuances of the meeting and the driver exit time I did not failed to communicate with Silvio, again he did not answer!

    4. From the apartment to the subway 10-15 minutes on foot and nothing else, because the buses are very rare!

    5. I had to boil and wait until the sediment will fall to the bottom. The refrigerator is a set of 4 bottles of alcohol, two of them are empty with sediment.  (calculated on the drinkers, I did not like), but have not elemental packs of coffee or tea, for example.

    6. on the kitchen is a horrible old kitchen utensils, plastic cups, dusty, dirty coffee maker (now coffe maker is clean, had to wash it a lot), the old kitchen cabinets, with chipped edges, sink rests on a hill plywood pieces, tucked under the sink, the old
dilapidated rug under foots. From extract-air (hood over stove) is extraneous odor, it is necessary to close all door so that it does not pass into the rooms.

    7. On the balcony, dirty, too dirty sink and dried flowers with (website hidden) sink

8.B old dirty bath curtain covered in stains and spots, rusty pipes naverhu. Have no shampoo or soap.

    9. In conclusion, I note that the Silvio insistent my review in writing
on paper, not on the Internet. This surprised me, and I decided to do a review available for everyone.

    Now the good
    1. Air conditioning is available in both rooms.
    2. WI-FI is OK.
    3. Good shutters on the windows, closed Automatic by pressing a button, you can create coolness.
    4. In general, if the entire adapt and do not pay attention to the cons, then you can live.

I wish Silvio to be more attentive to their future guests and note that in other countries may be different in the transport, buildings and traditions. All this does not immediately understand many aspects to which people used to at home.
I wish you prosperity of your business and understanding that only putting something first, then you can get out vvide positive reviews.

  • Silvio's place was perfect for the 3 of us. It was on the 7th floor but there is a lift which is great with luggage. Also there was AC units in the bedrooms which was a dream because it was very hot in Rome in July. The pictures represent the place well and it is close to the train station which will take you directly to tourist destinations like the Colosseum etc. Stay with Silvio!

    Thank you very much

  • We had a lovely stay in Silvio's apartment!!! The place was clean, spacious, quiet and had a/c, wifi, washing machine, comfortable beds.
Getting into the City (Colosseum, palatine hill, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain) was easy, you can take the Bus # 716 just across and get off at the last stop which is Piazza Venezia. Bus is very convenient and very frequent. From Piazza Venezia, everything is walking distance. You can also catch bus from Piazza Venezia to Vatican City (#46), Spanish Steps (#119).
We went to Florence for a day and the Roma Ostiense railway station was just 10 to 15 minutes walk. Next to Roma Ostiense is the EATALY, great place to eat. Lot of choices from pizza, pasta, salads, sandwiches and bar. You also have lot of drink choices at EATALY. There is also an excellent restaurant right across the street from the front door
Silvio was awesome, explained everything to us at the apartment and left us alone. Silvio also arranged taxi for us to travel to/from FCO airport which was very convenient. Everything went very smoothly and I will recommend Silvio as the first choice to anyone looking for a good time in Rome.

    Thank you very much Cris

  • We had a great stay in Silvio's apartment!
The place was clean, quiet and had all of the amenities we needed plus more (wifi, washing machine, comfortable beds).
Getting into the town centre (colosseum, palatine hill, st peter's) was easy, you can take the 716 Bus from nearby or the 160 on Columbo (we had more luck with the 160, the 716 was a bit irregular). The 714 goes to the main train and bus station, termini, very regularly as well. The taxi from Fiumicino airport was 48€ (its a flat fee in rome).
There is an excellent restaurant right across the street from the front door, Giovanni's. The waiter we had (Fausto) was awesome, the food was delicious and the price very reasonable (32€ total for three people for example). Tuesdays and Fridays are fish nights and highly recommendable (the clam pasta and marinated mussels were delicious).
There was a Carrefour supermarket not too far away (phone number hidden) on (website hidden) maps) and a small store on the same street as the flat.
Silvio left us to ourselves, everything went very smoothly and he is a great character.

    Thanks very much Geetha!

  • Silvio was a very attentive and animated host. He was kind enough to give us a very late check-in (due to our late flight) and popped in every day to check on us. The apartment was clean extremely big for 2 people. It could easily accommodate 4, plus Silvio owns the apartment next door that could also be rented if you're looking for more space. The location is about 10 minutes walk to the subway station (although we walk fast) and it's very close to all the main Rome attractions. The WI-FI was also a lot better than most places we've stayed using airbnb.

The neighborhood seemed a little rustic at night, but was fun and vibtrant, as you'd expect from Italy.

All in all, a very pleasant stay.

  • Silvio was very helpful in getting me setup before arrival, helping me find my way and get settled. He is a warm and gracious host, welcoming and kind. I will miss him. His apartment is located in a community far enough from central Rome to be peaceful and relaxing, yet close enough to be in the heart of the eternal city in minutes. I enjoyed staying there. It had all I needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Rome. It was clean and all the basics were there ready and waiting. I'd stay again if I return. Garbatella metro station was a short walk away, and everything you could need or want was all there in this nice little community. I felt very welcome there and was sorry to leave. I encourage you to enjoy Rome in Silvio's apartment.

  • Silvio was a very active and friendly host. The apt was very clean with one matrimonial bed, but the other 3 beds not very good for sleeping. Overall the experience was good.
