Great Apartment Ponte Vecchio

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Via de' Guicciardini, Florence, Tuscany 50125, Italy

Characteristic apartment in pedestrian area few steps from Ponte Vecchio. Located in one of the streets of the old town in the district of Oltrarno. Short walk to all the most important places of Renaissance culture.

The Space

These apartments, almost identical in size and layout, are located just steps from the Ponte Vecchio at the border of the Oltrarno district of Florence. Their location is ideal; though less than ten minutes from the Duomo and thus the heart of Florence’s city center, they are in a neighborhood that still retains its authenticity and is slightly removed from the tourist bustle. It is renowned for artisan shops, very cool piazzas, markets, and fantastic restaurants, and one of Florence’s most favorite wine bars is literally across the street. The Boboli Gardens and Pitti Palace are all less than five minutes away. They are also ideal for more than one family traveling together given that they are in the same building on consecutive floors.

The main entrance to the apartments is a lovely courtyard that is home to one of Florence's most famous ceramic shops. The large windows inside the apartments look out onto other typical courtyards and the red rooftops that are so representative of Florence. The apartments are extremely quiet and privacy is guaranteed because they do not face the busy street below. They consist of an ample entryway, a living and dining area with dining table and sofa bed, a large double-room with queen-size bed, a recently renovated bathroom with shower, and a small kitchen. They are located on the second, and fourth floors of an historic building, and there is an elevator (to reach the elevator you must go two sets of stairs).

They also have all modern amenities: internet connection, air conditioning in one room, heating, ceiling fans, hairdryer, iron, and washing machine. All kitchen supplies are provided, from flatware and glassware to microwave oven, American coffee machine, refrigerator, toaster oven, and electric tea kettle. Small animals are permitted on the premises pending approval of the landlord.
Location, layout, and amenities make these lovely apartments a true find.

  • Wonderful experience with Patrizia! She was extremely flexible in meeting us, even though we were late getting in, and helped us with everything we needed. The house is in a fantastic location, very clean, and just what our family of five needed. If we ever come to Florence again, we will most definitely call Patrizia! I hope next time we get to meet her at, though. :-)

  • A perfect stay in a perfect city. We so enjoyed our visit to Firenze very very much and this was in part due to our lovely accommodation (and our lovely host). We booked this airbnb at the very last minute and yet Patrizia was still a most communicative, thoughtful and accessible host. The check in process was smooth and easy (the bottle of wine won us over instantly!) I would highly recommend booking your Firenze stay in one of Patrizias places. Something to note is that we did not stay in the place that was on airbnb. This did not matter to us at all, the apartment we had was fantastic and still had everything we could need. I guess though if you are after the dryer that it says is included make sure you ask, as we got one that did not have a dryer (was not a problem as there is a clothes line on the balcony plus a drying rack).

    Comes highly recommended!

  • We (three adults) stayed in Patrizia's apartment for six nights in early January. Both the apartment and Patrizia were perfect! The location (just across the Ponte Vecchio) was ideal. Everything was within walking distance and we didn't need to use public transport once. Everything is there for those who want to cook in, but there were so many good and reasonably priced places to eat nearby, who could be bothered!? Patrizia was a perfect hostess - gave us great suggestions for places to go and where to eat, was a great communicator, and responded immediately when we had a small problem with figuring out how to use the hot water. I would recommend a stay at her apartment without hesitation. We would definitely return, if she would have us!

But on a totally unrelated matter - beware the gelati-frozen yoghurt shop just on the other side of the bridge! 3 moderate sized gelati cups saw us poorer by 27 €! Not even Patrizia could fix that up!

  • This is a lovely apartment in a perfect location and Patrizia our host could not have been more helpful. She gave us invaluable advice on nearby places to visit and was really helpful calling taxis for us on several occasions.

  • Patrizia was great to deal with and the apartment was in a great area. Looked better than the pics, and Florence is friendly. Wished we had stayed longer in Florence and less in Rome.

  • I was a little nervous using airbnb for the first time bur my fears were quickly eased by our host Patrizia! She was wonderful and we had no problems staying in contact before or during our trip. She booked our museum reservations for us before we arrived and had a bottle of wine waiting for us in the flat. The apartment is spacious for Italy standards, adorable, and in a great area. We had no problems with noise and the flat is a five to ten minute walk to everything in Florence. I highly recommend Patrizia!!

  • Excellent location! Very secure. Having a lift for the luggage was very convenient. The 3 bedroom apartment was very spacious for our family of 5. The only downside was the main bed was uncomfortable and the apartment is a little tired.

  • El apartamento muy céntrico, a sólo unos metros del Puente Vechio y de todos los sitios de interés, totalmente equipado, amplio, limpio y muy confortable, nos hubiera gustado haber estado más de una noche.

  • This apartment is in the centre of a very happening place, but at the same time is a great oasis when one needs a break. It is quiet and very secure, and nicely appointed with lots of books to read when sightseeing has worn you out. Patrizia is a very attentive host

I was born in Florence, and I love my city. I love the art of Renaissance , even though my job took me to the knowledge of modern art. I like traveling , although in recent times I am always here because I want to give to my guests who stay in my apartment all my support. I love pets!
