Sasha Ger is situated on top of our hill and enjoys a beautiful, 180 degree view of the Texas Hill Country, looking out over the hills, opposite the city of Wimberley. There is an extra yard area at Sasha Ger with a lovely spot to watch the sunset with a glass of wine before hopping into your hot tub at the end of the day.

The space
Most guests first comment is "wow!" They open the gate to the private deck area and once it shuts behind them, their relaxation has begun. You can turn off the world during your stay at The Yurtopian and just soak in the views, sights and sounds of the Texas Hill Country woods.

Enjoy a glass of wine out by your fire pit, lounging in your hammock or while soaking in the hot tub/plunge pool. We specialize in private relaxation in the woods, but we also have those creature comforts that make it all worthwhile:

- Roku TV on deck so that you can watch your favorite streaming apps while soaking in the hot tub

Guest access
We have contactless check-in at all of our yurts. You'll receive an invitation about a week prior to arrival that will allow you to check-in via our digital guidebook/check-in system. Through that system, we'll send you a gate code for the main gate of the property and specific directions to find your yurt. Our staff is onsite typically from 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday and from 11:00am - 3:00pm most weekends. If you need anything or have questions, you can always text or call us.

Other things to note
KITCHEN DETAILS:
We have our glamping kitchen setup to be more convenient than a state park campsite, but not as stocked as your home kitchen. Think of it as a campsite kitchen with upgrades! In other words, please bring your own food and supplies.

"Sasha Ger" is one of a total of 6 sleeping yurts on The Yurtopian property in Wimberley. Wimberley has become one of the most popular destinations in the Texas Hill Country. The Yurtopian is less than a 5 minute drive to the Wimberley Square with TONS of shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. There are wineries, breweries, distilleries, live music venues, hiking, and swimming holes all within a short driving distance of our property. Whether visiting the area for a friend's wedding or a romantic celebration with your partner, your blood pressure will drop as you enter our property. We specialize in dark-sky stargazing, bird watching, do-nothing relaxation!

There is no access to the Blanco River from Sasha Ger, but you can check out the City of Wimberley website for reservations to the popular Blue Hole Swimming Hole or Jacob's Well swimming hole. You can also walk down to the Blanco River from The Yurtopian property to the low water bridge near the 7A Ranch Resort. If you're interested in a day pass, drive to the 7A office by 10:00am during the summer/spring season to buy a day pass or rent a kayak.

We are a husband and wife team, with a passion for all things travel-related. We have been privileged to travel in a wide variety of regions around the world from Russia to Uganda, The Netherlands to Mongolia, and we have spent a lot of time exploring different cultures, languages, and food with our three daughters. We are dual citizens with Latvia, so we spend every summer exploring the Baltic region and visiting family in Riga. We bought our beautiful Wimberley, Texas property in 2007 and opened up The Yurtopian in Wimberley with one yurt in March of 2019. Since then, we've expanded to have 9 yurts + a spa/massage yurt in Wimberley and 10 yurts in Dripping Springs. Come visit The Yurtopian at either of our locations and prepare to relax into a state of bliss!
