  • My husband and I stayed with Geneen and Aaron for a few days as one of many stops on our move across the country. We had a lot of plans for DC so we didn't spend too much time inside but upon arrival they were very welcoming and the downstairs is beautiful. They put a lot of work into their home and it's great.

  • Geneen's house is amazing! We couldn't anticipate or hope to anything better. We stayed at Geneen's and Aron's castle with their lovely "Lady" (their super cute dog), for 34 days!!!, and they have been like a family to us. The location is great- about 7 minutes walk to the PG plaza metro station (yellow and green line), we both worked at different parts of DC, and it was very easy to get anywhere we needed. If you're too lazy to walk, the bus station is just around the corner. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely. The surrounding area of the PG plaza station is great there are a lot of places to spend your time- you can find the Giant supermarket, the PG plaza mall for shopping, and even a gym in a reasonable price.
We had two huge tidy rooms with king size beds, a jacuzzi, a convenient kitchen, a washing machine and a dryer. All of them for your own use. You have a private exit to the house and the garden behind, which is beautiful in the morning and even better during the evening when Aron lights up the lights outside, we recommend to have at least once a romantic dinner outside on the deck, if weather allows.Ask for the "Lonely Planet" we left for future visitors, for getting to know the city better. Don't think twice, if the room is available on your dates, book it! We will definitely return next summer.

  • Geneen & Aaron are awesome hosts!! we loved their house and the garden and of course their dog lady :-) They offered us every day to have dinner with them.
The metro station is not that far away (10-15min) and you also can take the bus to the metro. At the metro station you have a little shopping mall and grocery stores.
It'(email hidden) to stay, we would stay again!
Thanks for the wonderful days we had :)

  • Geneen and Aaron were great hosts. very cosy house and bedrooms. They made a couple of dinners to share with us. The metro station, the mall and the grocery store are relatively close. In summary, great people, great experience. I look forward seeing them again

  • I had a great time staying with Geneen and Aaron. They are so friendly and willing to help you get around the city- in the cheapest way possible too. Only downfall was the bad reception in my room. But I would recommend this to anyone going to the D.C. area. Thanks again you guys for your hospitality!~ Kelly

  • The downstairs space was spacious, and Geneen has very thoughtfully made both decorative and practical touches to the space. She opened up her home fully to us - and we had a wonderful time with her and Aaron. Lady, our now adopted mascot, must be one of the sweetest creatures on the planet - we adored her. This is only side advice that has nothing to do with Geneen's place - if you're a light sleeper and staying for a while, you may want to bring ear plugs, just because a distant neighbor's dog sometimes woke me up. But it's a really nice little neighborhood, with easy access to different restaurants with a car. Thank you, Geneen!

  • Aaron and Geneen were great hosts, very friendly and helpful, Geneen took my to the pharmacy when I needed to get something and Aaron offered to take me to the shops. The bedroom and bathroom I had were large and there was also a kitchenette where you could make coffee and a microwave. You could be completely self contained if you wished, but Aaron and Geneen were always happy to share their free time and I spent an evening with Geneen making beads. Very relaxing. Washington is a lovely open city with lots of things to do and the museums are free which is great for anyone on a budget. ENJOY.

  • Geneen was gone during our stay but her husband Aaron was hospitality plus. He showed us around the neighbourhood on arrival, recommended local resturants and made us feel comfortable in their house like it was our own. The furry four legger was a great addition and so friendly. We loved the tub, the metro was easy to navigate, and we made a great BBQ for our host and our own. We had just a great time in DC and would HIGHLY recommend anyone (email hidden) for buisiness or fun to check it out. Thank-you Aaron and Geneen for being such gracious hosts. • Very comfortable and spacious lodging. It was near perfect for our family of three. Geneen and her husband were out of town when we stayed, but it worked out fine. If we go back to DC, we would definitely stay at Geneen's again.

  • Geneen and Aaron were very nice with us and really make an effort to help us in a difficult situation.
