~ Large, bright BR w/ 2 beds, BRAND NEW carpet
~ 3 min walk to subway; 15 min TOTAL commute to midtown Manhattan
~ Literally in heart of Astoria; 1 block from famous Steinway St, which is full of restaurants, grocery stores, bars, parks & shopping!
The apartment is a 3 min walk to the M and R trains; total travel time to Midtown Manhattan is only 15 mins (door to door)
You will be staying in a large and bright bedroom with two beds (only one is visible in pictures).
The room has curtains, a nightstand, a trash bin, a 5 drawer dresser and AC. The bathroom is literally next door to your room, which is convenient. This bedroom also features luxury furniture, a BRAND NEW mattress, BRAND NEW carpeting, a massive double door closet with several shelves, a full vanity mirror, a hamper for dirty clothes, hangers, unlimited bath towels and facial towels, an iron and ironing board and extra fresh linen sets, amongst other things. All of these amenities are for you alone - you don't have to share them with anyone else :)
The bathroom is spacious, extremely clean and regularly maintained. It has a mirror with storage shelves inside. The tub is very clean and the shower current is very strong. The water gets extremely hot! This bathroom is also fully loaded - I provide you with hairspray, spray deodorant, several brands of body wash, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, extra toothbrushes, floss, shaving cream, unlimited towels, etc.
There is ample free street parking around the apartment.
Guests will have access to their bedroom and the bathroom next door to it. Guests will also have FULL access to all communal areas, including the kitchen, living room and accompanying balcony. This includes any kitchenware and appliances - all yours to use! I want you to feel at home, so you're free to go anywhere in the apartment you'd like except other bedrooms of course :)
The living room features a Samsung 50" plasma 1080i HDTV with a digital sound bar home theatre system as well as digital cable and 110 mbps WiFi (fastest in the area) - you have full access to all of this! Netflix is built into the TV as well.
Interaction with Guests
I make myself available for my guests anytime so that they can be as comfortable as possible. After giving each guest a detailed tour of the apartment, I request that they call or text me anytime they want, and I make it a priority to be responsive. If my guests want to socialize, I'm always happy to do so, but if my guests just want to do their own thing, I'm perfectly fine with that. My priority is your comfort! :)
Astoria is by far the most popular and diverse area in the Queens borough. Astoria owns the food crown of Queens, with more high-quality restaurants, bakeries, and markets than the other neighborhoods. And it's home to the last great beer garden of New York.
Astoria is also an extremely safe neighborhood. I have lived here for years and consistently see many women walking home alone even in the middle of the night (e.g. 2 AM, 3 AM, etc.). People are very friendly here and tolerant of people of different cultures and origins.
Astoria's main drags are 30th Avenue, Steinway, Ditmars, and Broadway. Ditmars and 30th Avenue are Greek and Cypriot areas. Broadway has more Latin American flavor, and is the crossroads of Astoria hipster life. Steinway just south of Astoria Boulevard is a Little Egypt with lots of Middle Eastern cafes, markets, and shops. Steinway is the main shopping street.
Steinway St is considered the heart of Astoria (the apartment is literally a 40 second walk to Steinway St!), and it is the shopping capital of Astoria. You can literally find anything you want on Steinway St, from diverse ethnic cuisines to designer clothing shops to 24 hour grocery stores, full service banks, lounges, laundromats and awesome bars.
I give all my guests restaurant and nightlife recommendations when they stay with me :)
One of the best parts of my apartment is its proximity to public transit. You're literally a 3 min walk to the M and R (email hidden), which take you pretty much anywhere in Manhattan. You cannot beat this location - you're in the dead center of Astoria next to the most vibrant and famous streets in all of NYC. There are also the N and Q trains only a 9 min walk at the corner of 31st and Broadway
Other Things to Note

- Please do not mingle in the lobby at the front entrance of the building

Nabeel were really nice, he is always willing to help, we asked for directions a lot and he always answered in a good manner. The apartment is just as described. Nice TV, nice sound system 25 to 30 from Manhattan and always clean.
HOUSE OF .....HORROR!
First night we arrived at 9:30 pm
Getting the key from the mailbox.
Nobody to receive us or to show us our room.
First night we , my pregnant wife and me we got F r o z e n !
Next day we run to PC Richards to buy a portable radiator.
Two days later, without any notice they throw a HUGE party that finished at 6:00 am. People come and go using our bathroom with the ripped and dirty shower curtain and with the shower handle that falls off the wall. This bathroom hasn't not been cleaned recently!
I had paid for 13 days and we left,... running, halfway of our stay....
I wouldn't recommend this place to a n y o n e !!
Nice place, just as described and the hosts were very helpful, thanks :)
AMAZING experience staying with Nabeel and Jason. The reservation was last minute and they both went out of their way to accommodate and make us feel welcome! From restaurant recommendations to their impeccable hospitality and great conversation, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The apartment was immaculate and the location couldn't have been more perfect for travel to the city or experiencing all Astoria has to offer.
Jason and Nabeel are the epitome of what Airbnb is all about and have our highest recommendation to those looking for a place to stay!
Nabeel is a very welcoming host. His cozy apartmentt is located in a great neighborhood just few blocks away from all that you may need(restaurants, markets, clubs). The subway is few minutes walking and in 10 minutes takes you to Manhattan. The apartment was very clean and spacious. I'd definetly recommend Nabeel apt to anybody.
Apartment looks really nice, and it's very close to the N and Q metro lines, so you can be at Manhattan in 15-20min. I would recommend this apartment to everybody! :)
The apartment is in a quiet and safe area.
The underground is within walking distance and takes you comfortably in
I've never seen Nabeel, but it has solved every problem almost in real
time as soon as informed.
At weekends, In the evenings, from a local nearby music is played, but this is not more annoying than a busy road.
I think it was a great experience
