Welcome to Ronan's airbnb. This beautiful home is situated 1.2km from the center of the picturesque village of Kinvara and boasts a beautifully landscaped garden . Kinvara is the perfect place base for your trip around South Galway and North Clare; close the Aillwee caves, Cliffs of Moher, Coole Park and Kilmacduagh monestary.
From my house there is a footpath all the way to the village which makes it safe for walking -no problem to get home from the pub if you are out late.
In the village there is an outdoor pursuits shop where Mike hires out bikes for 14euros per day which covers all insurance and safety gear ; lots of interesting and quite biking routes around here ; either inland to the Burrren or out onto remote peninsulas and islands.Lots to see in terms of ancient monuments and natural landscape.
This 1940's home has been welcoming guests for many years. The house is full of character and charm and all rooms are large and spacious. There is a kitchen for your use as well as laundry. I make great coffee for breakfast.
There is wifi internet connection to all room. There is lots of entertainment at the local village or else enjoy the comfort of staying in and sitting by a log fire.
(As you may gather I have 4 Airbnb listings but understand that they are all the same property : that's just the way Airbnb works ! )
DIRECTIONS; Continue out of Kinvara on the Ballyvaughan road heading west. After 1km there is a Topaz petrol station on the right and then a church, I am the second house on the left after this (DUPLEX / SEMIDETACHED). If you travel by bus then you can request the friendly bus driver to drop you outside the front door as this is a recognised drop-off point .
THERE ARE 3 private ROOMS AVAILABLE ;
ROOM 1 is a private room with a double and single bed , overlooking the garden. Bathroom , with bath and shower is on the same floor .
ROOM 2 is a private room with double and single beds.
ROOM 3 is the treehouse which has double futon .
A child cot is available at no extra charge. When the weather allows I like to breakfast and barbeque on the terrace. I often have friends over to dine and wine especially if we get some warm weather and we can sit outside.
The best way method to contact me is via the Airbnb messages [ not e-mail] also ... once you confirm the booking you will have my cell phone (handy) number ; talk or text

Fantastic space, within walking distance to town and just beautiful... Ronan was a great host as well. Would recommend and stay again, without question.
We loved staying at Ronan's Cottage! Such a unique delightful place with a gorgeous yard. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Ronan and he was very knowledgable about the area and helpful with suggestions and where to go and what to do. Definitely hoping to come back soon!
Ronan was a great host and is perfect for anyone who enjoys a bit of fun! He was very helpful as well especially in coordinating travel to and from Galway! He's place is also incredible and the pictures do not do the backyard justice...a hammock, a treehouse and a pond what else could you ask for. I would recommend this place to a group of people looking to see the charming side of Ireland.
Great host and very nice place .... I would highly recommend .. It was a bit cold to enjoy the fabulous garden he has .. will go back in summer for BBQ and Garden ...
Muy bonitala casa, con todas comodidades posibles, muy limpia, la atención fue muy amable y la casa la tubimos para nosotros solo, todo muy privado.
Great place and a wonderful host!
Ronan is a great host we stayed in the front part of the house with a private living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. His property is gorgeous with plenty of hot water (yes that matters). All In all I would stay here again in a heart beat and highly recommend you do the same.
We enjoyed our stay by Ronan and I can recommened it. Ronan is a nice guy, open-minded and helpfull. He offered us homemade pizza and homemade bread every day. The garden is amazing and the landscape is very beautiful. You can go by bike and discover the landscape and the hills. Thanks for everything!
From the first moment we arrived at Ronan's Cottage, we felt right at home. He greeted us warmly and made sure to make a fresh pot of coffee and treat us to some delicious pie! Over our stay, he showed great hospitality, always willing to make us feel comfortable. Not only that, he was also great for conversation during the evenings over a nice bottle of red. If you want a night or two outside of the city, to look at the stars and just get away from it all, come to Ronan's. You won't regret it one bit. Also, if you do, make sure to ask if you can see the oldest man in Ireland.
Ronan has a very welcoming house. the room I rented had a beautiful view over the garden. my kids enjoyed to play with the amazing swing.
He took the time to discuss with me, helped me when I asked him about the area.
homemade bread for the breakfast is really pleasant !
