Alessandra's house in Atrani was lovely! Being away from the busyness of Amalfi proved to be very preferable on our trip. There is a sweet little square right down the street from Alessandra's house that then opens into a swimmable beach, and if you choose to go to Amalfi it's a short walk up the hill - everything was very accessible. There was a small miscommunication about the residence tax, but after speaking with Air BnB and clearing up the confusion everything was fine, and Gabriele (Alessandra's partner) was understanding about the confusion and let us pay upon check out. Would stay again!

We loved staying at Alessandra's place! It was clean, comfortable and in a great location. Gabriel was very helpful and answered our questions. We were delighted to find out that he authored several books about the Amalphi coast and enjoyed reading about the area. We highly recommend!

Atrani is a very charming, small city in the Amalfi Coast. It's close to Amalfi and Ravello and we were able to walk to the next town every day to take a boat to other coastal towns in the Amalfi. This area in Italy is very popular especially in the high season in August when we visited and there was not a lot of apartments available for rent. Also this is not an area where you should bring a car. We had to leave ours parked in a garage the whole time we were there which was very expensive. I suggest taking a bus or boat to the Amalfi Coast. The towns and scenery is beautiful and you will not be disappointed with traveling here but because it's very popular it's also very crowded. Needless to say we had a lovely vacation there.

We loved the location and the apartment! It was very close to Amalfi and Atrani has its own beach so we only had to go to Amalfi if we wanted to. Gabriele let us come by early and helped us with our luggage which was really nice because there are about 25-30 fairly steep stairs from the base to the apartment door. There is no AC but they do provide a fan so it is best for two people rather than four because the fan will only reach either the bed or the sofa bed. The only drawback is that there is no separate shower so the whole bathroom gets wet when it is used. Gabriele and Alessandra had put out fruits and juices for us when we had arrived which was also lovely. Overall I would recommend a stay at Shu Shu's house.

Nice little place in Atrani. Only a couple minutes walk from Amalfi. Only criticism would be that we were not able to connect to Wifi at all for the couple days we were there. Not a big deal for us but if you're dependent at all on the internet this is not the place for you. Our 19 year old almost didn't make it

Response from Alessandra:
Internet To connect to the Internet you have to type pw that is written in the home service book. Gabriel showed it to Beth and her daughter. Her daughter said it was all easy! No guest ever had this difficulty! And if Beth had sent a message to say his difficulty I would surely go to Atrani to ensure that wifi worked and that pw typing was correct Alessandra's shop Gabriele told Beth the name of Amalfi's shop where Alessandra works. Beth said it was not necessary for her to write the name of the store because she has good memory!

The place was very nice, just like the pictures. The bus driver didn't drop us off at the Atrani stop so there was a bit of confusion to get to the right place. Gabriel was very responsive to help navigate us to where we needed to be. A lot of the descriptions provide a suggested walk time which we found to not be entirely accurate...I'm not sure if they're taking into account having luggage and not knowing wheee you're going. That can add quite a bit more time. If the bus driver dropped us off at the correct stop t would have been a much shorter trek.

Alessandra and her husband were great hosts. Check in was easy and they were very accommodating with our checkin and our time. The location is perfect only a very short walk to Amalfi and easy to get to the other hot spots on the coast. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend!
