We have been living in Cambridge for over 20 years and are happy to share with you some great tips on how to explore our wonderful city.
Basement with washer-dryer, exercise machine (elliptical trainer with a computer to watch shows or films), back porch with table and chairs.
Our guests enjoy full privacy and independence but we are always happy to say hello, hear how their visit is going, and answer questions they may have about sights in the area as well as more general issues.
Our neighborhood is both well connected to all kinds of sources of entertainment and quiet and relaxing. It is also very safe. In addition, parking, a problem in parts of Cambridge close to campus, is very easy on our street.
The T stations Harvard and Porter Squares are about at a 10-15-minute walking distance. The bus line on Mass Avenue is about 5 minutes away.
We can communicate with our guests in English and also in French and German (and some Italian).

I absolutely love staying here! It's my home away from home and Nadine and Bernd are the most gracious guests. They are the best-- warm, caring, and attentive to your needs. I feel like I'm part of their family. The place is always impeccably maintained. As a matter of fact, this trip I arrive just minutes after it was cleaned.
Bernd and Nadine gave us a nice and
warm welcome to Cambridge. They have
been amazing! The room provides all
basic needs for a short stay. They even
bought a baby crib for our daughter
of 16 months to sleep in!
Highly recommended and very close
This was a perfect place for us to stay as our daughter lives in Cambridge. Easy to come in and park right in front of the house. Very comfortable and clean. We'll be back!
Nadine and Bernd are the best! I have stayed here multiple times and it's like I'm visiting with close friends every time I do. No stress in check in, during stay, or when leaving. The place is wonderful- very cozy. It's my home away from home in Cambridge and Nadine and Bernd make sure that I'm happy and doing well. Thank you for being such great hosts!
Nadine and Bernd were excellent hosts. Their place is a perfect departure for anyone who'd rather spend a week in a clean, quiet apartment over a hotel room -- and at a fraction of the cost. They are both incredibly kind hosts and I recommend their private suite to anyone.
The hosts were very helpful. It was a pleasure staying with them.
I love this place! I've stayed here twice and Nadine and Bernd are amazing hosts. The suite is cozy and it's a short walk to Harvard. Always clean with an amazing TV - and I don't ever watch TV - unless I'm staying here :) The new coffee maker that uses K-cups is fabulous. Boris is also a really cool cat.
We enjoyed very much our stay with Nadine and Bernd. Their place was superbly situated for our needs, half way between Harvard sq and our family's apartment. The suite itself has everything we needed, not luxurious but nicely decorated. It has a separate entrance, which gives privacy. It is much more comfortable than a hotel room. Lots of place in the wardrobe and shelves in the bathroom. Very good heating and hot water (very important this time of year). Nadine was most helpful with all the questions we had. Nadine and Bernd are really nice people, very welcoming and discreet at the same time.
The small kitchen has all that is needed to prepare breakfast.
We were more than satisfied and since we have family nearby, most probably we'll go back in the near future.
Nadine and Bernd are friendly and experienced hosts. Longtime residents, they know the area and are generous with information.
The house sits on a quiet residential block in a venerable and bustling Cambridge neighborhood, slightly NE of Harvard Square.
Suite has independent entrance via a very pleasant little back porch area off the driveway. Bedroom offers comfy bed, with available closet and drawer space plus other. Outer room is practical for guests, with a writing desk, coffee maker, small fridge, sink area with dishes in the cabinet. No cooking area, but plenty of groceries and restaurants relatively nearby for takeout. All is relaxed style, tidy, warmly furnished, including books on the bookcases and music for the radio-cd player. Also has cable & dvd player. Pretty much perfectly what I wanted in a place to stay while visiting in Cambridge. Hope it's available during my next visit to the area.
Beautiful house close to Harvard square, easy walk to the bus lines and the train stations. I arrived quite late at night and the hosts were very accommodating. The rooms and the bath are really nice - exactly as described. Easy parking. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Cambridge - much better than any hotel in the area.
