We have been living in our house in Cambridge for 20 years and are happy to share with you some great tips on how to explore our wonderful city and it surroundings.

Interaction with Guests
We love to welcome our guests whenever possible and we are always happy to say hello, hear how their visit is going, and answer questions they may have about sights in the area or more general issues. But the suite is independent from our own part of the house, which ensures our guests full privacy.
Our neighborhood is both well connected to Harvard university and all kinds of sources of entertainment. At the same time, it is quiet and family-oriented and very safe. In addition, parking, a problem in some parts of Cambridge close to campus, is very easy on our street. We provide a permit.
The T stations Harvard and Porter Squares are about at a 10 minute walking distance. A bus line on Mass Avenue is about 5 minutes away.
There is a Hubway (bike sharing program) station about 6 minutes from our house, if your prefer to bike around.

I had a great time at Nadine and Bernd's. They are very warm, friendly and welcoming hosts.
The suite is very comfortable and well appointed and everything I was hoping for.
The neighborhood is very nice with cafes and restaurants within a 5-minute walk. The location was perfect for my needs during this stay.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.
Nadine and Bernd were fantastic hosts. Nadine gave me helpful hints regarding how to pack given abnormally cold weather in Boston (being from california, this advice was invaluable). They were extremely flexible and accommodating with our check in and checkout times. The studio was great- warm, homey, clean, and full of great extras that were very thoughtfully planned (coffee, chilled water, etc). The location was excellent, close to harvard and close to the red line for easy access and also within walking distance to great restaurants. However, maybe better than the charm of the studio was getting a chance to meet Nadine and Bernd. As my Fiancee and I were not familiar with Boston, they graciously gave us tips about getting around, sights to see, and places to visit. They were fantastic and I hope that others are able to spend some time talking with Nadine and Bernd.
Nadine and Bernd thoughtfully and graciously provide all one needs for a great stay in a classic, wonderfully atmospheric home and neighborhood.
From hot tea, to helpful guidance to the neighborhood, to comfortable privacy, they make sure one feels welcome and at home.
Nadine and Bernd were extremely welcoming and accommodating. My mom had a good stay there despite the winter blizzards. The place is very clean and cosy, just as pictured, and well-equipped with nice touches like the TV setup. The hosts are a charming couple, very responsive and made themselves available to help out whenever needed. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a cosy and convenient (supermarket and Harvard university close by!) place in Cambridge with hosts who will strive to make it a good experience for you! Thank you!
This was a wonderful stay. In town to attend a conference at Harvard, and loved being able to leave the car safely parked the whole time and walk easily to every on-campus event from here. Nadine is a wonderful host. Sorry not to have more time to chat with her! The suite is as described, cozy even in the deep-freezing weather of that week, and well enough equipped with small fridge, microwave and coffee maker that some simple meals could be fixed right there. Generous space in closets and dresser, very comfortable bed. A good home away from home!
Exactly as described, helpful host, good neighborhood. The two room suite is very private, with independent street access. I would certainly stay again.
Nadine was a wonderful host: friendly, helpful, and discreet. The place was well-appointed; I had everything I needed. Comfortable bed, big kitchen, nice lighting, and in a charming, quiet neighborhood. If you want absolute silence, you won't have it when Nadine and Bernd are home; their living quarters are "right there," but they're such nice people that it wasn't a concern to me; plus, I make strategic use of earplugs! I'd happily go back...and hope to.
We live in a comfortable Victorian House in a quiet neighborhood in the heart of Cambridge, very close to the Harvard campus. I am a Professor of French and my husband a university administrator. We have lived here for decades, but we maintain strong ties to Europe, where our daughters are studying and where we go often to spend time with our families. We love to welcome guests from around the world to our great city.
