Apartment with 3 bedrooms , located between Vatican city zone and "Villa Borghese", the green heart of the city. That means 15-18 minutes walking from the Piazza del Popolo square, subway just 4 minutes from home.

The Space

Here in Rome you will enjoy your days living in my vacation apartment , located in the "Prati" neighborhood , one of the beautiful , safe and elegant neighborhoods in Rome.

The building is on one of the streets included in the Rome Marathon route, " Via Giuseppe Ferrari " , in one of the elegant buildings of the early XX century that characterize the area around the Vatican after the unification of the Kingdom of Italy, with the conquest of Rome by Garibaldi and the subsequent creation of the state of the Vatican.

Anyway, apart this little historic info, and all the historical spots that you have around just walking distance, going again to the apartment that you are going to use like your home in Rome cause I do not live inside the apartment, let me describe you something about its interior.

The apartment have a surface of 74 mq with three separate bedrooms, inside a courtyard, so it is on the ground floor and it is a space very convenient for families and groups of friends, but also for couples it is possible to stay in the flat.

Considering the characteristics of my home and from my experience as a traveler, I can give you some tip to understand the convenience to arrive in my flat : no problems with heavy luggage climbing stairs, no only in the building, cause the apartment is in a courtyard, but also in the district, a valley without hills like in other areas of Rome. Being in the courtyard you will have a high level of privacy with no other flats over the ceiling , or attached at your walls, something that using to live in different apartments I consider a very extra comfort when you need to recharge energies sleeping, after a day exploring Rome from the hood of Prati.

Very important : just 4-6 minutes walking from the subway station called "LEPANTO" means ... Convenience & simplicity when you will arrive from Rome airports and train stations to the apartment address," Via Giuseppe Ferrari " , if you are not going to get to the address by taxi, the proximity of the subway station , that is connected with the main train station " Termini ", where it is possible to arrive with shuttle bus or with the " Leonardo Express train", will give you a perfect point from where to explore the city.

In fact, the connection with "Termini station" with the " A " subway line, give you access also to the "B" subway line or "blue" line, that give you more options to know the city also in other areas, where the "red A line" do not pass, for example, the Colosseum, or other places out from the Aurelian Roman Wall ( the defensive wall that surrounds the historical center of Rome, where is concentrated most of the works of art and monuments that make Rome one of the most great open-air museum in the entire World), like for example the port of Rome, Ostia Antica.

To know how to arrive in the apartment address do not hesitate to contact me, so I can give you tips in advance.

The apartment space offer 3 separate bedrooms with:
2 double rooms ( bedroom with double bed)
1 twin room ( bedroom with 2 single beds )
and it is equipped with drawers & cabinets
desks. Bed linen are provided by me.

It is possible to stamp online tickets , just let me know in advance.

Wi-Fi internet connection in all the flat
TV , Air-conditioning & heating .

there is one bathroom with shower, like n the pictures, where you will find hairdryer and towels, provided by me.

washing machine and griddle table, with griddle of course ..If you need to iron some dress for some party or wedding in the eternal city. ^_^

full equipped kitchenette, with electric oven, electric cooker, utensils, fridge and freezer, nook table , so you can enjoy the pleasure to have a home made lunch or dinner.

Groceries walking distance from your roman AIRBNB base, plus a well equipped kitchen, will give you the possibility to enjoy the pleasure to have a home in Rome and to cook by yourself if you want.

At the same time you can also enjoy the night life having very good restaurants, "pizzerie" and bars, just around the building, in a no touristic area of the city where you will find the best quality with no excessive prices, if you want to try a really Italian "pizza" , a special ice cream or traditional Italian cuisine , just in Prati neighborhood, or a really good "aperitivo" (happy hour), before dinner , just at the corner of the building in one of the best bars of the area, apart to go in different places in other neighborhoods of the city center, just walking distance from the building or with the good public transportation connections of the district.

Interaction with Guests

I am really frendly and helpful and I offer my home only on Airbnb, I like to respect the privacy of my guest, so I just give my contacts to share information they ask to me that can be useful for their travel, specially to arrive in the apartment and to visit Rome, I like to solve travel issues so my guest can have a special experience of travel being my guest in my apartment . I speak English, perfectly Spanish and Italian so you can contact me also in those languages.Thank you in advance to give me a review so the community of airbnb travelers can have a better idea of the place where you are going to stay and the way I try to be helpful with my guest needs about a better way to live this amazing city.

The Neighborhood

An example of one tip about the district? In just 25 minutes, you can visit the church of St. Louis of the French. The church's most famous item is the cycle of paintings in the "Contarelli" Chapel, painted by the Baroque master Caravaggio in about the life of St. Matthew. This include the three world-renowned canvases of The Calling of St Matthew, The Inspiration of Saint Matthew, The Martyrdom of Saint Matthew. Free entrance.

Getting around

Prati is not a touristic area but it is close to many ones like Piazza Navona, Trastevere, Pantheon.. If you would like to explore also other areas where Romans use to go apart the city center, I am available to let you know what it is a "must" here, apart the most famous areas.

From your roman Airbnb home, You have the possibility to enjoy the city, also only by foot if you prefer, like I told you above, being walking distance (15-20 minutes ) from Vatican city with San Peter’s Basilica, its Michelangelo’s square , Vatican Museums with the amazing Sistine Chapel and, "Castel Sant'Angelo", where you can have perhaps one of the best terrace of the city, with all the city under your eyes or to go, always by foot , submerging yourself on the other side of the river Tevere, with Piazza del Popolo, Via del Corso, Spanish steps ( 20 minutes walking) , Trevi fountain ( 27 minutes walking ) , the amazing Piazza Navona, Pantheon, .. the Venice square with the monument of "Vittorio Emanuele" and, last but not least, to be shocked by the majestic Colosseum, and San Giovanni district...All this places walking on the main street of the historical center crossed by the street called “Via del Corso" , where you will have on both sides of the street all the main spots of the Renaissance district of the city center mentioned above.
I will be in touch with you by AIRBNB thread for easy reference, but of course you can contact me by mail or phone after a completed reservation.

  • We stayed for 4 nights in this apartment and loved it! There are three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with 2 single beds so it was ideal for our party of 5 adults. The rooms are big, with lovely tiled floor and the air conditioning in two of the bedrooms (with a fan in the third) made it lovely and cool after a day's sightseeing. Beds are firm but comfortable and there's plenty of storage space. Two of the bedrooms have large skylights which let in plenty of light during the day (although I would suggest bringing an eye mask if you like it dark to sleep!).
The bathroom is small but adequate and there's a washing machine and dryer free to use. The kitchen isn't big but the fridge is (very useful!) and there's a large table and chairs in the hallway if you want somewhere for everyone to eat together.
One of the nicest things was that we didn't have to go out and buy essentials like washing powder, washing up liquid, salt and pepper etc as they were already there.
Prati is a lovely residential area, quiet and safe with plenty of shops and restaurants, but with the centre within easy reach by public transport (or walking if you're energetic!).
Juan Pablo was an excellent host, very good at communication and very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this apartment!

  • Jusn Pablo was awesome with us. He was every welcoming and helpful with the cues he gave us to enjoy our stay. The apartment was perfect for our needs, perfectly located (close to the touristic zone but not in the heart of it) and in a lovely neighborhood. I would definitely return there next time I am in Rome.

  • Juan Pablo (email hidden), before our trip he gave us all the information we needed , including the easiest and cheapest way to get from the airport to the apartment ( we were 5, including my mother and 3 kids) . He was waiting for us when we arrived and gave us all kind of tips for every place we wanted to visit. The apartment itself was the perfect place for us, 3 confortable rooms. It is in the first floor and completelly independent from the rest of the building , the neighborhood is very quiet too. Don't miss the farmer's market right accross the street! , great prices, everything fresh, from eggs to bread. The kitchen is very well equipped and everything was very clean . Right on the corner there is a supermarket and a traditional and elegant coffee shop with all kind of pastries and great
coffee. If you walk one more block , right in front of Mazzini square ( 5 minutes from the apartment) there is another excellent coffee shop called Club Kave .
There is a metro station and bus stop in the corner . We took buses everyday and is only 10 minutes from the turistic places .
I would definetelly recommend Juan Pablo's apartment. It was our home for 6 day and all of us loved the place.

  • Juan very kindly picked us up from the airport after we had flown over 20 hours from Australian. He delivered us to the apartment (super convenient on the ground floor) and took us through some quick information about the area, nearby train stop etc. the apartment was clean, spacious and in a great location. Train station is 50m away, restaurants and cafés dotted around the area, pharmacy and supermarket nearby. Having a washing machine was fantastic and easy to use. Wifi was great. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks again Juan!!

  • My friends and I had a lovely time staying in Juan Pablo's apartment. It was such a luxury for the three of us to each have our own room – the rate is very good value. It was bright and clean, as the photos show. We liked staying in a more local neighbourhood, to escape the hustle and bustle of tourists we experienced during the daytime. It was very conveniently located near a metro station and within walking distance of Vatican City and the historic centre. I would highly recommend this apartment.
