-Zablaće-
A village 5 kilometers from Šibenik near the Solaris Complex, is mentioned in 1432 as a village of salt-workers. The Turks burnt the village down twice, in 1510 and 1537. For this reason work in the salt works stopped completely in 1646.
Today only the names of the old salt works still exist : Veliko Jezero, Mala Solina or Blato (medical analyses show it is good for treating rheumatism) and Mala Solana or Jezero (linked to the sea by channel). The Chapel of St. John (sv. Ivan- 1837) has a lovely position by the sea.
The population later began to grow grapes and olives, breed livestock and catch fish. Many of them became skilled sailors.
Thanks to its lovely position and the proximity of Šibenik and the Solaris Complex, Zablaće is becoming more and more important in tourism. Visitors can stay in private rooms or in a lovely auto - camp, and eat in inns. There are several daily buses to Šibenik.

-Šibenik-
Šibenik, town and harbor, is a bustling tourist resort in the area. Šibenik is situated by the estuary between the river Krka, and the sea (bay Šibenik). Šibenik lies at the intersection of the main roads Zadar - Šibenik - Split and Šibenik - Drniš - Knin; the railroad over Perković connects Šibenik with the railroad Zagreb - Knin - Split. To access the harbour, you must first pass through an 11-30m deep channel called St. Ante. Around this area are hotels, apartments and the campgrounds. Šibenik has a special position between Croatian’s town due to its proximity to the scenic bay. It was the old Croatian village under the fort of St. Mihovil, which under the name St. Anna is still dominating monument in town. The historic information allude Šibenik as Castrum Sebenici in the year 1006, when the Croatian king Petar Kesimir IV visited town. During the Middle Ages, a village with narrow streets was unreeled under the fort St. Anna. From the beginning, it was a strategic location for Šibenik during its fights between the Byzantine Empire and the Republic of Venice. At the end of its first war in 1918, this village became known as Šibenik, a part of Yugoslavia. The town was protected from land attacks with the help of Fort of (website hidden). Ivan and Subicevac were guarded from attacks from the sea by Fort St. Nikola. Each fort is truly and architectural jewel. These forts have given Šibenik a lot of cultural and historical memories: Palace Foscolo (15th century), town house (16th century), and several churches from the 14th century to 20th century. The biggest and the most important is the cathedral of St. Jakov, built between years 1431 – 1536. The cathedral was built from stones and stone board, without the use of any additional materials. With the combination of the town hall, proximity to historical churches and the Palace of Princes; these factors make “Trg Republike” the most beautiful city square in all of Croatia. Around Šibenik there are a number of scenic small villages and natural places. Notable is the Krka National Park and islands of Kornati.

-National Park Krka-
National Park Krka has many lakes and fountains and is one of the most important natural monuments in Croatia. Government of park is in Skradin. The river comes up from several affluents, which are connected to the town of Knin. Its canyon and karistic barriers create amazing scenery. Krka has a lot of small and big waterfalls. The Bilusic waterfall is 20m high and is located 9 km from Knin. All around this area are other waterfalls, such as: Brijan (15m), Manojlovac (52m) and Roski slap (25m). The biggest and most beautiful waterfall Skradinski buk is at the junction between the rivers Krka and Cikola. On the Krka rivers way, it has created Lake Prkukljan, which has all attributes of the sea including high tide and low tide. In the river live fresh water fish, as well as sea fish.

-National Park Kornati-
The Islands of Kornati consist of 149 islands, small islands and the cliffs located on 320 km2 between the island Dugi otok on the northwest, with island Zirje on the southeast and islands Pasman, Vrgada and Murter on the north and northeast. Lime’s islands do not have any fountains or water flows. The vegetation is very rare, because of the climate conditions in the summer time. The sea around the Kornati is the one of the most bountiful fishing areas. National park Kornati includes 89 islands, small islands and cliffs, which is including 2/3 of islands Kornati. The area is a national park from the year 1980, and has rich undersea life, wildlife, and another natural interest. This park also has many scientific, cultural, education and recreation functions. However, tourism and recreation is restricted, visitors and accommodations have to follow the rules of national park. Within the park are some small villages for the people who live there just during the harvest season. Many people rent their houses for the rest of the year when they are not occupied. There are also some hotels available during the off-season. The visitors arriving to the park by the boat have to enter the park in Opata.

-The walkway – cycle trail St. Ante Channel-
The St. Ante Channel, also known as "the Šibenik Channel", is part of a wider area "Channel – Port", a significant landscape protected in 1974. It is more than 2000 metres long and between 140 and 220 metres wide. It serves as the door of Šibenik to the open sea and as the entrance to the town. The channel represents the place where the river Krka symbolically ends but at the same time it is the place where the river flows into the Adriatic Sea. It can be seen from all parts of Šibenik and while being situated near the city and relatively easily accessible, it has been isolated and unknown for historical reasons. Alongside its natural beauty that can be seen at a glance and a breathtaking panoramic view of Šibenik, the Šibenik archipelago and St. Nikola Fortress, the channel protects numerous cultural and natural values. The cycle trail is designed so that it's appearance and materials to be used do not disrupt the natural harmony of the protected area. It is suitable for family walks and sightseeing, organised groups of tourists, recreational running and cycling. It is about 4.4 kilometres long.

  • We had a good stay with Tino at the apartment. Large apartment, good parking, good kitchen - everything we needed for our stay was there. We only stayed a couple of nights. Lovely beach nearby and lots to do and see. Wifi was a bit light but ok if you sat on the balcony. Would stay there again if in the area. Thanks Tino!

  • We booked the small Appartement, but we ended up having the big one for the same price :-) (Was more convenient for him). Even though Tino was out of town, he was very available and helpful by text giving us advice (for our trip to Krka). He offers us fruits. The house is located in a small port with nice beach, 10min by car from Sibenik. The Appartement was very clean and nice BUT is not the one on the ad. Would recommend it.

  • We had a really nice stay at Tin & Tin. The host were very friendly. The father of the host brought us fresh figs and crapes nearly every day! :-) The clean appartement had a big balcony. The beach is about 50 meters away from the appartement, where you have a beautiful view on the sea an the islands around. Zablache is nice, small and quite village about 7 km out Sibenik. Thats no big deal, because you can rent bikes or use the bus to Sibenik. We can recommend the footpath at the coast of the st. anthonys channel. And don´t miss the waterfalls at skradin!

  • We arrived late to the apartment and we had problems finding it. The address listed the wrong street and no building number. We had to call, text, and email and finally got through on the second call.

We had some problems with the wifi, which would only work if we stood in the kitchen.

There is a nice garden and a terrace.

    Response from Tino:

Please mentioned that you arrive around 00:00, you said that you will arrive around (phone number hidden). On my airbnb page you have map with location of apartments, so it is easy to find if you know have to use map. Sorry for wi-fi, but this is first time that someone complained on wi-fi.

  • Wonderful location in a quiet, clean and beautiful village by the sea. The studio is on the ground floor, very clean and neat, surrounded a manucured garden. Tino's mum and sister wre very discrete and helpful hosts. They even lent us bikes to explore the area. Tino was in Zagreb so we didn't meet but he was very responsive by email/sms. I recommend it if you are looking for a peaceful spot by the sea, in a picturesque and authentic Croatian village.

  • Our apartment was spacious, nice and clean. It was only 50m to a wonderful beach and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was very nice to stay at Tin&Tin's!

Sehr freundlich!
