We would like to remind you that Morocco is a Muslim country, therefore as a mark of respect for its inhabitants it is highly recommended to avoid short dresses and shorts, as well as bare belly, low-cut tops, or anything too revealing (especially in the old city).
Also it is very inappropriate to eat or smoke in the street in the daytime during Ramadan (starting 28 June 2014 for 1 month)
As Morocco is a Muslim country there are certain rules we have to strictly adhere to and apply.
No unmarried Moroccan women co-habiting or present in riad as unregistered guests.
The same applies to Moroccan men who are not registered guests in the riad.
My three friends and I enjoyed a lot our stay at Riad O2. It was a perfect place to discover Marrakech and its surroundings: at walking distance from all the main spots as well as cozy and super relaxing after our long days out. Another key highlight of this place is that the staff was amazingly nice and helpful!
We were a group of 6 in our early twenties and this was the perfect riad for us. I'd also recommend the riad to couples young and old as well as solo travellers.
We arrived at Riad 02 late that evening having pre-arranged a taxi transfer from the airport through Annette. We were met by the lovely Aziz, who then drove us directly to the riad situated in the Medina. Aziz then kindly guided us through the windy streets to the Riad 02. We received a very warm welcome from Annette, who showed us around and took us up to our private riad, which was perfect for the six of us.
We had agreed in advance that we would like to have dinner once we arrived and so once we had unpacked, we headed up to the roof terrace and had an amazing three course meal (traditional Moroccan, of course) along with a few bottles of wine. It was the perfect way to start our holiday!
For the rest of our stay, we were able to come and go as we pleased. We made full use of the roof terrace and plunge pool and spent most afternoons there after a long day exploring the city.
Breakfast was served on our own private roof terrace every morning, which was a delicious feast of Moroccan pancakes, bread & jam, yoghurt, fruit, tea & coffee.
Annette and the other staff including the cooks were all very friendly and hospitable. We will recommend Riad 02 to anyone we know planning a holiday to Marrakech! Thank you for having us!
Thank you for your kind comments. We are delighted that you all enjoyed your stay with us and it was a pleasure to meet you all and we would love to welcome you back in the future..and as a return guest you and any guests you would recommend benefit from a discount. Again it was lovely to meet you all.
Annette, Marie, Hugues and all the team.
This place was great! Moad, the manager of the Riad, was AMAZING. He really made us feel welcome. The Riad is a bit difficult to find if you're not familiar with Marrakech but once we got oriented it was straightforward. We decided to have a meal cooked for us at the Riad on our first night and were quite pleased with the results. Breakfast is included and it was also really good. Rashida was the other staff member we met and she was amazing as well. She cooked our breakfast (and dinner maybe?) and cleaned the Riad during the day. The terrace shown in the first pic is probably the nicest part of the Riad. The bedrooms have A/C which was needed for our stay as it was quite hot. The couple issues we could find include the living room being too hot to sit in during the day, and the toilets being rather unprivate, sort of like stalls with swinging doors. Not a problem for a close group of friends but could potentially pose an issue for some. Location was pretty good, a few twists and turns off the main road and in the Sidi Bin Sleiman area. It had paid parking nearby and walking distance to many of the sites. I have to repeat what I said about the service. Moad and Rashida were amazing. We really felt taken care of.
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you felt taken care of. We will check the air-conditioning in the Douiria normally there should be air-conditioning in the living room area...Rachida will be delighted to hear that you liked her cooking...Many thanks for staying with us and we would be delighted to welcome you back at any time and remember you benefit from a discount on your next visit. Kind regards, The Riad O² team.
Everything was perfect. Great place, great location, very clean and comfortable.
When we book an "entire house" we expect to have the basics for a functioning kitchen ie. toaster, kettle ( for tea) cutting board and sharp knife and some sauce pans plus some basic extras as we prefer to prepare and cook our own meals. Your kitchen had none of these plus only one of the 4/5 lights in the kitchen worked. There was only one extremely dirty and slimey dish cloth (which the cook used to clean the dishes with) so the kitchen was not used There was only one working light on the outside terrace so we could not read at night The shower on the terrace had come away from the wall so we were not happy to use this. The shower recess in the bedroom was dirty and had not been cleaned and the shower head was corroded and when we showered we had to place several towels on the bedroom floor to soak up all the water that shot out sideways from this dirty shower head The sink in this room did not drain away so we could not use this plus the light over the sink did not work The shower in the big bath would not turn on so could not use that. The sink in this room is badly stained and 'looks dirty' and not very hygienic. Both the beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable so much so that my husband slept up on the terrace on our last night - also some globes were not working in this room On our second day I decided to have a dip in the pool but this had been drained and was being painted so we did not have an opportunity to use this There was no washing machine or TV/DVD which I would assume at this price would be an automatic inclusion in any "entire home" rental Two other interesting notes; we purchased a large bottle of sparkling water which we prefer to drink rather than flat water. When we went to get it from the fridge it was gone. We used one of your recommend taxi drivers to take us to an outside destination (about five minutes drive out of the medina and then back again) and was charged 200 drm. The next time we did this but took When we book an "entire house" we expect to have the basics for a functioning kitchen ie. toaster, kettle ( for tea) cutting board and sharp knife and some sauce pans plus some basic extras as we prefer to prepare and cook our own meals. We had a great time in La Douiria! if you want to have a real and truly morrocan experience you should choose this please. Good location (you can walk to everywhere in la Medina) , nice staf (very disposed always). They picked us at the airport ( we really appreciated that), we used the jacuzzi (never was too hot but still ok) and our kids loved it. We had dinner at the hotel the first night and it was very good.

We are a French couple who fell in love with Morocco years ago.
We then decided to buy a place in Marrakech. After a long period of renovation work, combining modern comfort, traditional material and our taste for design, we finally created our beautiful riad.
We love going to the desert, sleeping in berber tents and listening to Touaregs playing drums and singing.
We also enjoy meeting people and telling them about our favourite places to see and visit.
