Located in the heart of the 9th district, this beautiful apartment has been decorated with an eye for detail, featuring well chosen art work and contemporary furniture.

Interaction with Guests
I make every effort to welcome all my guests in person on arrival.
During the length of each guest's stay, I can be contacted by phone (also on Viber and (website hidden)), text messages and mail and will always be happy to answers to any questions or requests in French, English, German or Spanish.
Situated on the upscale rue des Martyrs, it's particularly close to Montmartre (you can see the Sacrée Coeur from the doorstep and the Moulin Rouge is 5 mn away), the musee du Louvre and the famous Opéra Garnier.
There you can enjoy the shopper's mecca of Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, among many others.
The street is very busy with traditional food stores (boulangeries, charcuteries, boucheries, wine cellars, fromagers), fruit and veggie stores, organic food stores, trendy cafes and restaurants.
The nearby theaters and museums (I strongly recommend the Musee National Gustave Moreau, a hidden gem of a museum, formerly the artist's home and studio, and the Musee de la vie Romantique, where you can enjoy tea in the little, old fashioned garden, away from the hustle and bustle of the city streets) make the whole neighborhood very lively.
Please let me know if you need to be picked-up at the airport, I negotiated a flat rate with Armand for up to 5 people.
It's barely more expensive than the train and saves you time and hassle.
Ask me about it!
Armand can also pick you up upon departure and drop you to any airport and train station.
I also sometimes use Taxi G7 inside Paris.
You can reach them at the following numbers (automatic voice machine) :
3607 for French.
(phone number hidden) English.
Please note that French taxis will accept up to 4 people; You'll need to book a special one when you place your order if you are more numerous than that.
A credit card might be necessary when booking.
The nearest Metro station (Notre-Dame-de-Lorette) is 2 mn away.
The Gare du Nord (Eurostar; for trains from England, Germany, Belgium and Holland) is only a 10/15 mn walk away.
The Gare de l'Est (Luxembourg and Germany) is a 10 mn taxi ride away (or a 20 mn walk away).
The Gare de Lyon (Switzerland and Italy) is 30 mn away by subway.
The Gare Montparnasse (Spain) is 20/25 mn away by subway (and direct to Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, the nearest Metro station).
The Roissy/Charles de Gaulle airport is a 45 mn taxi ride (60/85 euros, according to time and traffic) or 1h train ride away (direct to Gare du Nord, RER C, 12 euros/person).
The Orly airport is a 45 mn taxi ride (60/85 euros) or 1h train ride away (Orlyval plus RER B, direct to Gare du Nord).
From Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport:
From terminal 1 - Take the CDGVAL automatic train and get off at the stop 'Terminal 2 Gare' then follow
the signs for "Paris by train".
From terminal 2 - Follow the signs for "Paris par train"
From terminal 3 - Take the walkway (about 250 metres), then follow the signs for "Paris par train"
Take the RER B in the direction Paris and get off at Gare du Nord.
The walk from Gare du Nord to the apartment will only take you 10 mns : walk down Rue de Maubeuge and almost at the bottom make a right on Rue Choron, which brings you directly to rue des Martyrs.
From the Notre Dame de Lorette metro station, walk down the Rue de Châteaudun in the direction of the traffic, then turn left onto the Rue Flecher. When you get to the intersection, at the back of the church, continue straight ahead onto the Rue des Martyrs.
The fewer the rules, the better the stay!
However try to keep the apartment as clean and tidy as you fund it and respect the neighbours' quietness.
I try to be as flexible as possible regarding arrival and departure time!
However a good organization between us beforehand is vital to make everybody happy.
Paris is a big city and of course there are scams that target tourists. While none of my guests have experienced any problems and the neighbourhood is safe, please take reasonable precautions for your security.
DO NOT let anyone enter the apartment even if they claim the right to do so (for example for electricity or from any alleged authorities) without contacting me first.
I will always be glad to help you out if you have any questions during your stay and will answer in French, English, German or Spanish.
You trust me...and I trust you!...
Our stay at the apartment was great. Did not meet Charles in person, but he was very good about quickly responding to questions in email. He even arranged for our transport to the airport when we left. An assistant let us into the apt. He did not speak much English, which was a challenge, but we were still able to find everything and no problems.
The neighborhood is very good, and there are all sorts of shops close by. The apartment is very safe and quiet.
The living area is as pictured and is a very good size, great to gather in for a meal. The kitchen was functional and easy to use. The bedroom was also a decent size. The only complaint would be the shower. There is only a handheld shower, which would be OK, except there is no curtain. We were constantly getting water on the floors and walls which we would have to wipe down.
Otherwise a fantastic stay, and a great first experience with AirBnB.
Le séjour s'est très bien passé dans cet appartement propre et bien situe.
Charles n'était pas avare en information. Très réactif et disponible même depuis l'autstralie :-)
Je ne peux que dire du bien sûr cette location. A bientôt voisin !!!
Our party of 6 arrived Charles apartment with much excitement as upon arrival we found the apartment was exactly as the pictures that was posted earlier in AirBnB and it's very clean , cosy and romantic. Most importantly it has a small elevator for us to move our big bags up/down. The location was fantastic, there was lots of food, pastry, sweets shops and also a supermarket for us to shop for some simple groceries. The Metto is also conveniently located as only a short 10mjns walk away. One word to describe, FANTASTIC place Charles had offered us. Grateful to him and also he is very quick to response in our queries and very helpful too. Will surely come back to stay here again should I head to Paris in future.
Allow me to pen my experience in Malay for our countrymen , " Sesiapa yang ingin melawat Paris, anda mesti sewa apartment kat sini dengan tuanpunya ini, Charles , apartment-nye memang bersih, cantik dan cukup besar untuk 6 orang tinggal dengan selesa. Lagipun, lokasi-nye memang senang kalau nak keluar jalan-jalan dan tempat makan pun banyak.
Great spot, excellent communication, very accommodating. Stayed only one night due to just passing through but would be a great spot to spend days or more!
We had a wonderful stay in this charming Parisian flat. It was spacious for our two teenagers and my husband and I. Lovely shops on the street, convenient to many Metro stops, safe neighborhood. The apartment is on the third floor and faces the courtyard and is very quiet. Charles was extremely helpful and communicative. He also arranged transport from the airport. I would highly recommend staying in this apartment for an authentic experience.
A very pleasant and easy going experience. The apartment is modern with glorious wooden floors and a true France feel. The area is very close to opera and the shops nearby were excellent. We really felt like we lived in Paris!
Charming place. Great location to metro, cute shops and restaurants. Safe neighborhood. Charles was very helpful in arranging transportation to and from airport and train station.

About the Host, Charles
After university studies (and a degree in marketing), I always found time to travel extensively and for long periods of time.
I realised then how one appreciates to find a place where you feel at home, live as locals do; a place where you can enjoy breakfast with your choice of music in the background, where you can shop the local foodstores and cook a beautiful diner for everybody; Well, even better if this place costs you roughly half what a hotel would cost you (for a fiftht of the space)!
I love literature and art, which probably reflects in the modern decoration and the many books on the bookshelves.
Travelling in many parts of the world made me quite laid back I guess; I just expect my guests to have a wonderful time in Paris and just want to come back as soon as possible....
