About This Listing
The kitchen will be shared with the attached guest house which has plenty of space between both areas for privacy. Email me for any clarification
Spacious Austin home available for your family vacation. I have a very large home with a large kitchen.
Our location is off of South 1st Street and very convenient into town. We usually hop on the bus for a ten minute ride to 6th st and Congress. Our house actually faces South 1st Street so the bust stop to go down town is across the street and a few steps north near St. Elmo St. The bus coming back drops you off just 4 houses from our house so it is very convenient. 486 Night Owl bus route runs til after 2am and brings you right back to my house. Or if you prefer take a taxi for about $10.00 plus tip.
In the back section of my house is my large living room with wet bar, private bathroom with shower and large sliding glass door with private entry. This room is next to the open dining area and kitchen but can be closed off with the door.
Upstairs I have 3 bedrooms.
My master bedroom has a private bathroom, queen sized bed, and private balcony overlooking the back yard.
1 bedroom has 1 full size bed (plus a twin trundle), and the other bedroom has 2 full size beds (plus twin trundles).
There is an additional private room downstairs that has a daybed with trundle, accommodating 2 more guests.
Our house rules are simple. Have the same respect for our house as you would expect us to have of your house.
There is no smoking allowed inside the house, but you make smoke outside as long as you use an ashtray.
Edith was fantastic. She is gracious, thoughtful, very informative and the bang you get for your buck with her house is pretty hard to beat. I would definitely stay there again.
Absolutely great stay at Ediths "ClubHouse" (that's for the week it is not Edith's lol:) again. This was the 3rd year staying at Edith's, next year will be 4th and so on.
Edith is am amazing host, and the place is as amaing - the main house is so cool, added the Loft, it made this be the home for 16 Nordic peeps, startup entrepreneurs and ,musicians again for this year's SXSW.
