Priscilla's house was great, and she was an incredibly helpful host. The house was the perfect size for our group of 6, the location is close to everything, and the pool/ yard is beautiful. We had a minor issue when we blew a fuse one evening, but Priscilla dropped what she was at 8pm on a Saturday to come help when we couldn't figure it out ourselves. We would definitely stay again!

From the outset, I acknowledged the agreement to treat the house as if it were my own and not to throw parties or large gatherings. After receiving a message from the host on Friday evening expressing her doubt of my intention, I promptly responded via text and followed up with a call. During the call, the host advised me that a neighbor would be stopping by to ensure that we were not having a party and I welcomed the opportunity to demonstrate my intention. One hour later, she texted me that shed didn’t believe me and I again explained that were having a low-key dinner and offered that she have a friend or neighbor stop by to validate that fact. She then again insisted that she “didn’t believe” me and demanded that we vacate the premises in spite of the fact that no party was occurring. Simultaneous to my promptly responding to her every message of taking my time to call her to verbally explain the cause of the deliveries that she stated were her cause for concern, she made a claim to Airbnb that resulted in my spending nearly 4 hours on the phone trying to come up with a reasonable solution. I believe that these claims of intention to hold a large gathering are partially based on her observation via unauthorized surveillance of deliveries of wine and food over the course of the day. I verbally explained to her that we are wine professionals that enjoy drinking wine and sharing meals with friends over the weekend as we were travelling via the jitney, direct delivery was the easiest course of action for us. There was no stipulation regarding deliveries, cooking, or consumption of alcohol on the property and I fully disclosed our intention to taste and consume over the course of the weekend. Secondly, the fact that my guests and I were recorded without permission or disclosure until after the fact coupled with the insistence that we were intending to violate the agreement. While I have nothing to hide and believed that the video surveillance would at a minimum demonstrate that we were cooking dinner for a small group of friends and having a low-key evening at the house as I indicated via text and on the phone, this was not the case. I have stated in top of being extremely troubled by with being repeatedly and falsely accused of lying and ignoring my efforts to prove that her claims were unfounded. Additionally, my Friday evening and much of my Saturday morning were ruined in trying to resolve this situation, not to mention attempt to seek out alternative lodging options. Furthermore, due to the late time when the demand was made to vacate the premises, there were no more available Airbnb listings or comparable alternate arrangements for my group which caused further duress and stress that resulted in no one in my group being able to fully enjoy our experience at the property. As agreed, we treated the...

Response from P J:
I do not spy on my guests and do not have hidden surveillance equipment or cameras. I cannot possibly know what was going on inside the house as Courtney implies. I have the "Ring video doorbell", period, something that hundreds of thousands of homes in America now own; it's hanging in plain sight and full view at my front door. Courtney and her guests had many more than 6 persons overnighting at the house, a fact she has cleverly failed to address in her lengthy spiel. Consider it for what it is. Probably the best $179 I've ever spent and free advertising for "Ring". Cutting short this guest's stay cost me a rental on a prime Hamptons weekend but with zero regrets.

My family had another great vacation at Priscilla's bright and airy Southampton home. The house has a lovely pool and pool deck and a perfect patio for eating outdoors. We enjoyed being able to bike to the beach. Priscilla was very accessible and responsive.

We had a lovely stay at Priscilla's Southampton home. The house was pretty, airy, and open--perfect for our family. We spent a lot of time in the pool and at the beach, which was a convenient bike ride away. We enjoyed many evenings grilling and eating out on the patio. Priscilla was very helpful, welcoming, and accommodating.

Priscilla made us feel instantly welcome. She picked us up from the jitney and answered all our questions before she headed off to work. We had a couple of hours relaxing by her pool which is charming as seen in the photo. Her house was a great location and we truly felt like guests.

My house is located in the lovely village of Southampton on the South Fork of eastern Long Island, only 2 hours from NYC, and minutes to local beaches and special places on the East End of Long Island. A great place to enjoy in all seasons of the year. Quiet, restful, and rejuvenating or as busy and full of life as you would like it to be.
