In the tradition of New Orleans is my Pied Terre. A long standing tradition locals might call this a "duck off" a place for solitude, privacy or for that special someone in your life. Truly a special Place for that special someone your life, to let romance bloom. As this is New Orleans we are very open minded, and take great pride in making sure that our guests are happy. The Pied Terre is located in the rear of a large 1866 Bywater home. With a back patio available for use with a BBQ grill.
Decorated with family antiques, this is home New Orleans Style. It is appointed with artwork that brings out the Local Flavor. A Clock Radio to wake you and television to help you unwind. Perfect for a single couple that needs a romantic getaway. Excellent Air conditioning along with ceiling fans. Very comfortable in the summer. It also has a very comfortable Queen Size bed, for relaxing, or stretching out for a good read or snooze.

This was our first airbnb experience and we couldn't have had a better time. Our airline changed our tickets which caused us to arrive in the wee hours and our host was beyond accommodating having someone meet us and even gave us the full tour at 1:00 in the morning. The host supplied several extras including snacks, drinks, and even had spare toothbrushes should you need one. Robert stopped by and gave us some history of the location and his family which was hilarious and interesting, so very New Orleans.
The place was unique and the neighborhood was fantastic. We felt safe, there was plenty of on street parking and several places to eat close by. It was a little bit of a walk to the French Quarter but there was plenty to see within easy walking distance and we didn't find a need to move the car our entire time at this location.
I'd highly recommend this place to stay and would love to come back the next time we are in New Orleans.
Such a wonderful experience we had at this apartment on Louisa St. Every detail was attended to yet it felt private and comfortable. Ernie, the housekeeper, met us for check-in earlier than planned since my husband was ill and Robert even called to offer chicken soup. The neighborhood is the greatest, in my estimation- easy walking to breakfast, lunch and dinner, the bus, the river. Ernie keeps the place stocked with necessities and it is cleaned daily. There is information available there and Ernie will help with whatever you need. I really can not say enough about the hospitality we received except to say that I would stay here anytime I came to New Orleans. It was close to the folks we were visiting and yet felt private and easy. Thanks, Robert and Ernie, for a great stay.
Robert was flexible in check-in and he offered helped with our bags. The home is well located amongst lots of restaurants. They offer nice extras like snacks, drinks, bathroom sundries. Ernie was especially friendly and interested in helping out. The air conditioner is a window unit and extremely loud--might disrupt your sleeping or tv watching if you are sensitive. Otherwise, it had a nice local flavor coziness.
The housekeeper, was extremely helpful and welcoming. The host was always easy to contact. The neighborhood is charming with a couple of nice restaurants within blocks. Parking was never a problem although the roads are a mess. It is about a 30 minute walk to the French Quarter, less to Frenchman street. The studio was spacious for two and they kindly stocked the fridge with drinks, breakfast fixings and other snacks. Daily laundry service was an unexpected luxury. There are two bikes as well. We had a wonderful time.
Me and my mom had an amazing time at Robert's place. It's located in a charming area (Bywater-Marigny) and within 30 minutes walk to the French quarter. Ernie, the housekeeper, really went beyond what we were expecting. He gave us so much information about the neighborhood, places to see, bus routes, etc. and made us feel so pampered by stocking the fridge with drinks and changing towels and linen everyday.
Nice place to saty and the neighborhood (ByWater- Marigny) is beautiful! It's perfect to discover another place in NOLA. Walk distance from French Quarter (30 minutes) and buses to/from the house. The buses in the evening is every hour. Ernie, the housekeeper, gives us good information at our arrival. Definitely recommend staying there for your vacations.
Nice little place in a great part of the trendy Bywater area. Was great to stay away from the chaos of the French Quarter but still in walking distance when wanted. Robert was friendly to deal with and the stay couldn't have been smoother.
