Leslie went above and beyond to make sure we were ready to enjoy our vacation weekend from the moment we checked in! There was food in the fridge so we didn't have to get up and go to breakfast if we didn't want to! Leslie told us the stories of his wild family history dating back to the beginnings of New Orleans, which we loved. The place has a very fun vintage New Orleans feel to it and it's right in the heart of the new "hip" neighborhood. We couldn't believe that a brunch spot that was recommended to us was located just 2 blocks away in such a sweet and fun neighborhood (free street parking, too!). We really felt like we were fully in the New Orleans experience right from the first night in town! It was a great place to stay and I'd recommend it anyone visiting New Orleans!

This was exactly the kind of place we were looking for! It is close enough to walk or Uber to/from the French Quarter, but it is just far away enough in a quiet neighborhood with its own set of restaurants and bars nearby. EVERYTHING was perfect and we appreciate Leslie's thorough hospitality!

Our stay was great, Leslie told us a little history about the place! It had a lot of character close to Bywater, and very convenient to the French Quarter. Easy access to Cafe Du Monde and the French Market. Leslie provided lots of unexpected items like breakfast fixings, water, sofa, snacks, and also a bottle of wine! We loved this place and will return if available on our next trip to New Orleans!

Leslie was very responsive and provided breakfast food, snacks and a bottle of wine. The bed and other furniture was very comfortable. It was nice having a kitchen and a private patio in back. The neighborhood was lively and felt comfortable during the day/early evening times when we were there. Bywater is very quiet and a mile to the edge of the French Quarter. We loved walking off all the great food and enjoyed NOT being in the middle of hubbub. Buses were also available and there were a number of local eateries that we liked (Elizabeth's!). Leslie loves to tell stories about his family and New Orleans. He often checked in with us to make sure things were going well. If you like an involved host, this is a great place.

We loved staying here so much last year that when we visited New Orleans again, we decided to come back. Leslie is a wonderful host that is very accommodating, friendly and welcoming. The room is comfortable, clean, and features many amenities such as laundry service, a stocked fridge, wireless, and maps and info on the area. Our luggage didn't arrive until the next day due to an issue with the airline, and we were beyond thankful for all the toiletries and extras already available to us in the room. Thank you for another amazing stay in one of our favorite cities.
