Quiet, discrete, studio. Excellent for long term stays. Full kitchen and bath. Great for conventioneers, writers, or people that need a quiet get away in the city. Great for single couples and designed with them in mind.
In the tradition of New Orleans is my Pied Terre. A long standing tradition locals might call this a "duck off" a place for solitude, privacy or for that special someone in your life. Truly a special Place for that special someone your life, to let romance bloom. As this is New Orleans we are very open minded, and take great pride in making sure that our guests are happy. The Pied Terre is located in the rear of a large 1866 Bywater home. With a back patio available for use with a BBQ grill.
Decorated with family antiques, this is home New Orleans Style. It is appointed with artwork that brings out the Local Flavor. A Clock Radio to wake you and television to help you unwind. Perfect for a single couple that needs a romantic getaway. Excellent Air conditioning along with ceiling fans. Very comfortable in the summer. It also has a very comfortable Queen Size bed, for relaxing, or stretching out for a good read or snooze.

We were greeted at the house and shown our quarters for the week. They really went above and beyond what we were expecting-- providing food, snacks & drinks, making sure we knew about the local attractions, coming each day to clean the linens, letting us borrow two bikes for the week. They were always available if we need help and were super friendly.
The neighborhood (ByWater- Marigny) is beautiful! Our favorite place in NOLA. We were surprised at how quick and easy it was to get to the French Quarter and biked or walked to/from the house each day. There are also plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes close by.
I highly recommend if you're looking for a nice, quiet get away!
We had a spectacular time at Robert's Bywater Pied a Terre. It's every bit as beautiful as the pictures look, the neighborhood is vibrant and fun (go to Elizabeth's for breakfast and Bacchanal for dinner!), and Robert and Ernie could not have been more hospitable. There were snacks and drinks (including some fantastic Mississippi-brewed porter ale), Ernie—a self-identified and proven "Cajun Gentleman"—offered to do any laundry we had, and everything was clean, cool (or warm, as needed), and just lovely. We will absolutely be back, as soon as we can!
We had a wonderful stay. Ernie, the housekeeper is fantastic; the house was perfect for our needs; the location was terrific. The house is very cool, and Robert and Ernie took care of everything. We hope to stay again.
We were welcomed by the housekeeper, Earl, who was very friendly and most helpful. He showed us everything we needed to know at the place, taking his time and making sure our questions were answered. The location worked well for us, as we were able to ride our bikes to the music on Frenchmen St. and local cafes.
I had a nice stay at Rob's place in the Bywater. The studio has everything you need (fresh towels, sheets, bottled water, etc.) and is within walking distance to the French Quarter. If you don't want to walk there are two buses close by, which come somewhat frequently. The apartment is in a safe neighborhood and also has some great restaurants just a few minutes away. I would recommend this place to others--thanks for a lovely stay!
Robert and the grounds keeper Ernie really go above and beyond! They provided us everything we needed and more! Some amenities, to name a few, included: a well stocked fridge, tour brochures, new toothbrushes, clean sheets and laundry service daily. The house is in a great location (bywater) with bars/restaurants, coffee shops, yoga and local shops all within a couple blocks. I felt safe and the public transportation is quite accessible there as well.
Something else unique about this spot is how Robert brought his own family history to the house. He told us his family has lived in New Orleans as far back as the 1700s, and he has old family photos displayed in the house. Truly a gem of a place! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting New Orleans and hope to stay there again next time (and there will be a next time because this city is amazing)!
Awesome experience. Bywater is a killer neighborhood if you want to get a better feel for Nola, but still want to be walking distance to French Quarter, etc. Robert and his grounds keeper Ernie are gracious and accommodating hosts.
