The space
***Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations as part of our standard top-to-bottom cleaning. We continue to keep the health and safety of you, our guests, very seriously.***
Social distancing at its finest-no better place for that staycation away from the city or for some time alone or with your significant other or friends than here at Quarter House Acres. No big city noise or light pollution in these parts and the outdoors here will offer a welcomed respite from those masks.
Enjoy the quiet of the country in your own private, 2 queen bedroom suite (2nd bedroom available when party size requires it) while here and is a private portion of our residence. There is limited seating inside but are 2 seating areas outside to relax with your morning coffee, read a book, play games, or to enjoy the beautiful summer sunsets. This homestead is the realization of our dream to be more self-sufficient and live a simpler and slower life.
**Late Winter UPDATE (3/2/22)** A little green is starting to show with onion starts planted and snap peas beginning to sprout. Old chicken coop-to-greenhouse/garden shed renovation continues. Turkey’s should begin laying eggs any day now. Chicken coop upgrade planned over the next few months.
🦃 **NEWEST EDITIONS** Turkey additions have fun to listen to and watch in their enclosure down the hill. 🐈⬛ Rescued kitten, Kringle, will make her outdoor debut (to begin her pest control duties), on our acreage soon with warmer weather arriving.
⚡️Charge your phone devices without getting out of bed (chargers located on both sides of your bed).
💻 Desks in both rooms and super high-speed wi-fi for this area. Great for a change of pace for a remote work week in the country.
☕️ Our coffee bar provides that caffeine fix with an extensive variety of complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate (most likely the biggest variety on the planet, but for sure the area 😉). Decaf and wide selection of other caffeinated coffees available.
🍔 New charcoal grill, utensils, salt & pepper available for your use with an outdoor sink as well for cleanup-just bring the charcoal, the meat and your fixins.
🔥 Enjoy those spring and summer evenings with our fire pit with firewood and roasting sticks-just bring your own marshmallows, stuff for s’mores or hotdogs!
🏃♀️🏃♂️ Get a little exercise and lots of fresh air on our 1/4 mile walking path in the lower pasture.
🛎 Use our one-of-a-kind digital voice concierge to learn more about our place and do a deeper dive into the local area.
👨👨👧👦 Families with older children are welcomed, though the space is not setup for toddlers, unfortunately. We ask that children be supervised while enjoying the farm and farm animals.
