The Space

Your Room
18 square meter, nice and private with a double bed, desk and storage for your clothes. Windows facing a quiet courtyard. Equipped, of course, with towels and fresh bedding.

Our Apartment
Our beautiful 85 square meter, newly renovated apartment, is located in a building from the early 1900's and has super high ceilings, wood plank floors, a tiled bathroom, equipped kitchen, balcony and wireless internet. Lovingly furnished with a mix of old and new, flea-market finds and renovated second hand treasures.

We are Anette and Easton, a young couple in our late 20's, from Norway and The US. We're both here working as designers and art directors and have enjoyed this amazing city for the past four and a half years. We're happy to share our Berlin secrets with you!

The location is one of many reasons we have stayed in the same apartment for over three years. The building is located in the south part of Kreuzberg, close to parks, transit, restaurants, café's and shops — and with easy access to the rest of the city. The u-bahn lines U7 and U8 are both within 7 minute walking distance and the M41 bus stops right outside the door. You are also 5 to 10 minute walking distance from the famous Landwehrkanal, Graefekiez with all its cafe's and restaurants, the buzzing Bergmannstraße and lively Weserstraße.

We love to host other open minded, young and friendly people who are also reliable, trustworthy and have a normal sense of cleanliness/(website hidden): We constantly add some of our favorite places to our guidebook that can be found on this page. Check it out!

  • It was the perfect place to stay at during our city trip to Berlin! They are really great hosts and have a lot of nice recommendations. The room and bed were really comfortable! Certainly to be recommended :)

  • Anette and Easton are really lovely people and were wonderful hosts and welcomed us warmly into their beautiful home. The photos don't do the gorgeous apartment justice and the room was a great size with lots of space for our things. The bed and bedding was so comfy and cosy it was hard to get out of bed in the morning (or afternoon) but when we did, Anette took time to show us where places were on the maps and guide books in the room and gave us great ideas of places to go to eat and things to see. The location of the apartment is fantastic for getting around with easy access to a number of metro stations and situated in the middle of Kreuzberg which was ideal for us. There was a fridge we could use in the kitchen which meant we could buy bits from the supermarket for breakfast. I would definitely recommend this air b n b and am looking forward to staying there again when in Berlin and hopefully to seeing Anette and Easton in London sometime! :)

  • Annette and Easton are lovely! The flat is very nice and well situated in Berlin and the room is very cute. Easton gave us some nice advices to go out and Annette was very helpfull. There are some travel books in the room that we can use and some samples for the bathroom. very nice stay. I warmly recommend these hosts :)

  • We almost didn´t have contact with Anette and her husband but when we did they were nice and helpful. The room is good and they have a little refrigerator for the guests. It is 15 minute-walking from the metro station. The cost-benefit is definitely worth.

  • Staying with Anette and Easton was fantastic! The room was perfect, very spacious and extremely comfortable. Both Anette and Easton are both extremely talented, creative and so helpful! We wish we came to Berlin sooner on our trip so that we weren't so warn out and tired. But this city has a lot to offer and this room is so convenient to experience just about anything. Great location and very convenient. We loved every minute of our stay and if we ever come back this will be the place we call on! Thanks for a rad time dudes!

  • My friend and I had a great experience staying with Anette and Easton. The room was private, clean and spacious. We didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment but when we were there they were very sweet and easy to talk to. Anette provided us (email hidden) book and map- she also gave us recommendations for local restaurants and events that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. Definitely a great place to stay in Berlin!

  • An amazing stay with a fabulously creative and kind couple in the heart of Berlin. The room is cosy, the apartment is spacious and far better than the pictures give credit. Anette's online guide book has some fantastic eats along with other hints and tips of the area. Do yourself a favour and book this place. You won't regret it!

  • Our stay at Anette and Easton's apartment was simply lovely. They were both very easy going and helpful.
The configuration of the flat is perfect for sharing, with the hosts' room on one end and the guest room on the other end, so it is very quiet and we really felt home. The room was very clean and comfortable, some city guides and maps were available to help us to find the best way to enjoy the city.
The area around is full of nice little restaurants and the metro is very close, just perfect when you plan to visit the city.
We highly recommend that wonderful place for a stay in Berlin and we will definitely come back there next time we will be in the German capital.
    Thank you A & E !!

  • Great room in Kreuzberg. Everything is exactly as pictured and Anette and Easton made us feel welcome and comfortable. Anette went out of her way to add some vegetarian places to the map (on the reservation page) for me, and I really appreciated that. We went to quite a few places on the map and were never disappointed. Also, Anette was very well organized and sent a lot of useful information and directions before our stay, which made everything much easier. We really enjoyed our trip to Berlin and staying with Anette and Easton!

I'm a Berlin based, Oslo born and bred art director, designer and stylist. I came here via Vancouver, where I went to school and stayed for 5 years. Since arriving in Berlin I have co-founded the collaborative studio Working™®© and later the design platform SemiDomesticated which is now my main endeavor. My main man, Easton and I met while studying in Vancouver and moved to Berlin in the fall of 2008. He's also a graphic designer and art director who loves to make and play music. We both really enjoy good food — cooking and eating it, wine, good (email hidden), grilling in the summer, picnics in parks, bike rides, nature, camping, music, dancing, parties, friends, cacti, balcony gardening, running… and the list goes on.
