Short breaks (4 night min.); 25% DISCOUNT FOR 7 NIGHT BOOKINGS. If you want booking to straddle a Friday, please message before booking. Minimum 7 night stay during school holidays.
Cottage has been a holiday let for over 6 years and has received wonderful feedback (please see photos) and is decorated in a vintage/shabby chic style throughout.

The space
This is our holiday home which we visit frequently (we love the area so much), but the house has also been let as holiday accommodation for over six years with fantastic reviews/feedback. We have included photos from our guest book.
It is arranged over three floors and decorated and furnished to a very high standard. All bedding and soft fluffy towels provided.

Accommodation comprises:

Lower Ground Floor

A brightly decorated kitchen welcomes you on the lower ground floor along with a traditional beamed ceiling. Appliances include an electric cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, 4 slice toaster, kettle, washing machine and a fridge with a small freezer compartment. An array of brightly coloured quality kitchen utensils, pots, pans and baking dishes, plenty of cutlery, crockery and china are also provided.

A small breakfast bar with 2 stools is also situated in the kitchen, alongside a stable door that opens out onto a pretty courtyard.

Through from the kitchen is a utility room with a bespoke hand-painted cupboard housing a steam iron, ironing board, clothes airer, vacuum cleaner and high chair. There is also a folding table and chairs for an alternative eating area. Bikes, pushchairs, golf clubs etc can be stored in this room that can also be accessed from the outside via a short flight of steps.
*Please note the kitchen's beamed ceiling is low so could be slightly awkward for those who are tall.

The Ground Floor

A beautiful, quirky and colour co-ordinated spacious double-aspect lounge with two sofas and a traditional slate inglenook housing a Franco Belge log burner. This provides extra warmth in addition to the gas central heating (although the house is naturally warm), whilst the stripped pine floors and colourful rugs add to the charm. Comfortable armchair and sofas for complete relaxation in front of a large flatscreen 4K smart TV with freeview, a DVD player and a selection of DVDs, together with a CD player/radio/iPod docking station.

A vintage hand-painted table and chairs extends to seat up to 6 people with a matching cupboard housing games, books, toys and puzzles for all ages. Book shelves with a selection of books, local maps, guides and activity leaflets. The owners are passionate walkers and mountain bikers, so you will find plenty of ideas, books and maps to use during your stay.

Upstairs

Main Bedroom - Crisp cotton bedding, choice of pillows, cosy duvets and pretty patchwork covers/throws on a very comfortable iron double bedstead with quality pocket sprung mattress ensuring a good night’s sleep. Hand-painted matching bedside drawers with lamps, tall-boy chest of drawers and double wardrobe compliment the soft ditsy prints of the curtains and blinds. A cot can also be provided in this room if required.

Second bedroom - This room is light and fresh and has white Colonial style adult sized bunk beds with quality coolmax memory foam mattresses. Alongside the beds you will find a large chest of drawers, a smaller set of drawers and hangers for extra storage. Comfy pillows and duvets provided. Child security locks allow the sash windows to open enough for ventilation but ensure your child’s safety.

Bathroom – quality white suite with the luxury of a ‘rainwater’ style shower, separate body rinser over a full size bath, soft close WC and a pedestal wash basin. Hand soap and loo roll provided, along with a stylish heated radiator to keep those fluffy towels warm.

Garden

A sheltered, small and pretty rear courtyard with table and chairs, a few flowering pots and hanging baskets. After a day of exploring, what better than to return to your accommodation, Dolgellau’s quiet evening charm in the air and being able to retreat to this peaceful place to enjoy a fine meal and a glass of wine.

Great restaurants and pubs all within walking distance of the house. A wonderful quirky coffee shop (TH Roberts) makes great homemade cake and an award winning tapas bar is just off the main square. Plenty of other options in the near vicinity and two full size supermarkets in the town.

As noted, this is our holiday home and, although we live in Norfolk, we have a property manager who lives less than 100 yards away to help if required, and a cleaner who can also help. Guests can always call me if they have questions or if there are any problems.
