Located right in the centre of Dublin's gorgeous shopping area this loft conversion is a perfect location for a visit to Dublin as a tourist or someone who is here on business and is tired of staying in hotels.
Our apartment, which is on the top floor of one of Dublin's most historic and beautiful Victorian red brick buildings, has a cosy and very comfortable guest-room - perfect for a visit to Dublin. The apartment is located right in the city centre just a 1 minute walk from Grafton Street and perhaps 3 minutes from Trinity College, St Stephen's Green, and Temple Bar. You walk downstairs and you are immediately in the hub bub of Dublin's upmarket, trendy but elegant South Side.
The guest room is a comfortable size with a heavenly bed with 100% cotton linen, feather pillows and a down duvet. While the bathroom is shared it is sparkling clean with a lovely shower, fresh towels and lots of hot water. (Hairdryer, adaptors and chargers are available.)
The apartment has wi-fi but also has a pc available for guests to use if they don't have their laptop with them.
We have a large screen for movie nights if you come back after a long day's site seeing and want a quiet night in.
It is important to mention that we are located up 3 flights of stairs and as the apartment is in an old charismatic building there is no lift. The convenience is that you will certainly go home fitter than you came :) and with all the delicious food on offer in Dublin you might be happy to have a work out built in to your holiday break.
Interaction with Guests
The host lives in the apartment and is on hand to give good advice and tips of all the great things to do in Dublin as well as to make sure you have the best possible stay.
Being right in the centre of Dublin the apartment is surrounded by some of the best restaurants, pubs and bars in Dublin. Dublin caters for every taste in terms of style and cuisine and everything is within minutes of the apartment. Advice is at hand to make sure you make the best possible choice for a night out on the town, a cosy romantic dinner for two or something quick but delicious.
Shopping is a breeze with lovely boutiques and all of the Grafton Street shopping just steps away. It is a pleasant walk over the river to access the shopping available on the North Side of Dublin on O'Connell Street and Parnell Street where the larger department stores are located.
The apartment is located in the same street as a supermarket and also the best delicatessen in Dublin. Shopping for food and other basic necessities could not be easier.
Getting to the apartment is very easy. Just a 3 minute walk from both AirCoach and Airlink 747 bus stops (Trinity/College Green). There are also a 2 public parking garages located just around the corner although there is absolutely no need for a car as we are walking distance to just about every major tourist destination. We are very close to the Dart, Luas and a variety of bus routes. Cycling is also an option in Dublin and Dublin Bikes are an easy solution to getting to some of the slightly more distant spots like Pheonix Park (10 minutes by bike).
Other Things to Note
Dublin is a wonderful city and the apartment is in perhaps one of the best locations to be able to really enjoy the city. Everything is right here, just open the front door and you are immediately immersed in the hustle and bustle of Dublin.
The apartment has a non smoking policy but we do have a terrace where guests are welcome to smoke should they so wish.
Victoria was a wonderful host!
She added many special touches to make my stay very nice, including tips on where to go and what to see!
Breakfast was very good and the location is perfect.
Lighting in the apartment is wonderful.
We had such a lovely time with Victoria in her wonderful apartment. We felt like we were visiting a friend ! For sure, next time we come to Dublin we will stay in this place.
Victoria was the best host we have had. She was very welcoming, providing us with all sorts of excellent recommendations on places/restaurants/bars to go to (and not to go to), had breakfast prepared for us every morning, and made us feel at home. Her place was in a perfect (email hidden)ort walk to all main spots (Temple Bar, Graften Street, St. Stephen's Green, St Trinity's College, etc.) and was surrounded by great bars and restaurants. Her place is as described (if not better)....exposed brick walls, really cool rooftop views, private room with comfy bed. Would definitely stay here again.
It was amazing! Thank you so much for being such outstanding hosts. Everything was just great and we can highly recommend this place!
simply amazing. Victoria is a fantastic host, really understanding, helpful, open-minded and very generous. staying with her added to my Dublin experience and enriched my life. you will have a hard timing finding an angel like her who will make you feel like a rockstar elsewhere :-)
The flat was delightful and the location was perfect. Victoria was a fantastic host, very thoughtful with attention to detail, kind and very sociable, easy going so it was like staying with a life long friend. Victoria is a very good cook and the breakfast was great and she was always ready with a cup of tea. Mariyo and I hope to stay there again one day.
Victoria has been living in Dublin for a number of years. She finds Dublin a fabulously social place with truly friendly people and a real village feel. Victoria loves to travel, cook and read. She is also a keen kitesurfer and climber. She loves meeting people from different parts of the world and to share, in a small way, their travel adventure.
