  • I had a very good experience staying at the Barong Room. The place was tidy, and well-maintained. Agung was very helpful, and all the staff were friendly.

The hostel itself is in a convenient location. It's a few minutes walk to Legian, and some of the nice restaurants in Seminyak.

  • Very nice welcome and description of the place and rules of the house. It was a bit hard to find the place because the address did not contain the number of the house. When I found the street the balinese neighbors helped me calling with their mobile the host and the place reached.
The room responds to the advertised description and it is really central and well located in seminyak. Excellent air conditioning system and TV cable system. Breakfast is served in the nice garden and the choice is very variegated.
I think that Jules and Agung made the typical house a perfect B&B, very well organized and nothing is left to the hazard. Transport service and all other requests I had during my stay were satisfied in a fast way and with extreme kindness.
There were other guests during the stay in the other rooms: it means for other ab&b users do not expect from this accommodation a private house or villa, but contrarily to share the garden and meet other travelers with open mind spirit.

  • I have been in this room for two nights and I did feel very comfortable!! The Teka Teki house is anyway a truly calm and relaxing place to be! You feel like beeing included in a family and you will have all support, help and good recommandations you need! The friendlyness at this place and the way you feel welcome is extraordinairy! Highly recommended!!

  • The place is really great. Even it is in the middle of Seminyak , it is extremely quiet. The room is big , clean and the Wi-Fi works great. The homemade breakfast is really nice. But the best is the staff, they are truly wonderful. I won’t give the detail but I had really big problem with health when I was there, and they have been able to help me in a fantastic way. Thanks again.

  • The Barong room is a nice room with enough space for a third bed. The terrace in front of the window of the room is a cozy place to have breakfast and see the cats and dogs walking around. Breakfast is good like in many other places in Bali: pancakes, fruit and eggs any style.
The Barong room is part of Teka Teki guesthouse a few blocks of the shopping street where you'll find amongst others the Belgian restaurant Manneken Pis (!).
The Barong room is recommandable but not if you want to stay with the Balinese as the site tells you. It's a guesthouse with tourists. Nothing wrong with that. We also didn't meet the owners Jules and Agung. They didn't seem to be there. So just a nice, average guesthouse in Kuta.

  • Stayed at the Barong Room for 1 night. No complaints at all. Good place to stay, clean and comfortable. Very close to the beach, and to all the restaurants. Jules was kind enough to drop me (email hidden) and take my post cards to the post office.

The place is a bit hard to find first time around (very typical for Bali)

Would definitely stay there again though!

  • Me and my friend have great time in this house. The staff members are so kind, and they help us a lot whenever we ask. Room is clean and neat, just same like the photos in Airbnb. This house located in seminyak area which has a lot of designers shops and great restaurants, also it is pretty nearby the beach, so you can go to the beach by foot. (it takes about 10min) Breakfast is good enough as well, and they served the exact requested time. House is located behind main street so you can relax without disturbing from cars and motorbike.

  • Jules has a beautiful place in a quiet part of Seminyak, the accommodations were exactly as advertised and when I needed a ride from the airport I let Jules know and they had a car waiting for me. I can't thank them enough.

We are a Balinese-Australian family that set up a BnB in Bali (Teka Teki House), which grew into a guesthouse. We no longer live at the house, but are just down the road and one of us is around almost every day. Most of the staff are Balinese and we are all happy to point you in the right direction or help you organise tours or transport or give you some recommendations. The house has staff around 24 hours a day and 2 (friendly) dogs and a bossy cat (none of whom enter guest rooms).
