Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
The spacious Grizzly Cabin commands amazing views of the Carter Mountain range from the covered front porch. This cabin is set up “hotel style” with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There is NO COOKING OR GRILLING ALLOWED as there is no kitchen sink in which to wash dishes.
New this year: We now now offering painting classes in the new art studio next to the Grizzly Cabin. Seasonal guided hikes are also available.

The space
This cabin, as all of the buildings is made of hand hewn logs. The large covered front deck and vintage, cushioned iron furniture invite long afternoons of relaxation. Inside, the living room is arranged around a cozy wood stove. There is a private bedroom, the bathroom is one of the more spacious, and you’ll appreciate the tiled shower and fluffy Pine Cone Hill robes.

Location

Cody, Wyoming, United States

This property is unique in that you see no signs of civilization in any direction. At night the only lights you will see are stars. Wildlife is abundant. Deer, Elk, coyotes, rabbits, hawks and Bald Eagles...even the occasional moose share this part of the Southfork Valley.
A beautiful 30 mile scenic drive takes you further up the valley into the Shoshone National Forest. As you drive through the upper ranch lands keep an eye out for Bighorn Sheep, as this is part of a protected range for them.

My husband Kenny and I retired in 2014 and moved from our home in Louisiana to property we owned outside of Cody Wy. It was a dream come true for us to finally live here full time. We can’t get enough of the stunning views and the ever present resident deer herds inhabit our pastures in droves. Migrating Canadian geese return year after year to raise their families by the edge of the Shoshone river, which rushes past our house. Part of the joy of having this slice of heaven is in sharing it. The recent purchase and renovation of several log cabins nearby has given us the opportunity to do that. While we enjoy traveling, and count France and the Caribbean as two of our favorites...northern Wyoming has captured our hearts, and will always be home.
