About this listing
This, centuries old Venetian style restored unique accommodation will certainly add a different dimension to your Istanbul experience. You will have the opportunity to witness the old city and new city hand in hand through the breathtaking view of the apartment. The terrace (email hidden) view of the Golden Horn, is a great spot to throw unforgettable parties during your stay. Which might include a welcome party of your own, organized by the host =)
My apartment is located in Beyoglu district, by Galata Tower. Situated just steps away from the famous Istiklal Avenue, Galata Bridge over the Golden Horn and Karaköy district, it is also within a walking distance to the tram, tube, funicular and ferry line.
In addition to its genuine location, the apartment is quite comfortable. Different from many other flats in the area, the building has an elevator, so you won’t have to worry carrying your luggage. I have one bedroom with a queen size bed and a studio couch is placed in the neatly furnished living room. The apartment consists of a well equipped kitchen and a spacious bathroom with 7/24 hot water. There is wireless internet, TV, washing machine and dryer, clean sheets and towels.
Taksim Square, Istiklal Avenue, Galata Tower, Historical peninsula, Golden Horn, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Sultanahmet
Other Things to Note
The check out is at 12:00 noon. You can leave your luggages in the apartment but we need extra time for cleaning and preparation to the next guest if there is another check in the same day.

Not only did Hande work with the taxi driver to ensure I made it safely to the apartment, but she even met me for a drink to discuss the city upon my arrival. The apartment was amazing and the view was sepctacular. Really the best location on a quiet street, close to the metro and one of the busiest and coolest streets in Istanbul.
We loved this apartment! It's location is absolutely ideal, in the center of everything but on a quiet side street, with absolutely stunning views of the Golden Horn. Alev was a delightful host. She waited up past her bedtime to give us a "welcome" call. We appreciated small touches like the umbrellas she left for us and mosquito repellent. We can't wait to go back!
We had a great time in Istanbul. Hande was very welcoming and even though she was traveling herself she was always available when we had a question. Her flat is beautiful, the photos show it well and the views from the windows and rooftop are amazing. The location is incredible! The only taxi we took was from the airport to Hande's flat. After that we either walked or rode a few stops on public transport (TL 2/ ride with the istanbulkart). We even went back to Atatürk Airport on public transport (two changes but easily done and much better than joining the Friday evening rush hour). Thank you Hande.
Hande was very helpful. Her apartment is amazing and the location is perfect. We really enjoyed our stay . Thank you Hande.

About the Host, Hande
When I am home, I love to cook, have friends over, watch How I met your mom or read a book listening to some music accompanied by a good cup of coffee...If I am not home, I am probably out of town, traveling. I love all sorts of traveling; whether it is with a 15k backpack up on the hills or with a carry on, on my heels...
In order to make all this possible, I work in the business of social change in Istanbul. I love this city. During my college years I traveled extensively. I decided to create a space for change; here I join airbnb, to be the host and the guest...
