  • Leading up to our stay, we were in constant contact with the host. Very professional.
We arrived 30min early, but only had to wait 15 minutes before we were met by Diego. He was very informative and friendly. The location of the unit is superb. Outside is very old, but inside is refreshed.

  • Great host, great (email hidden)is is the 2nd time we've stayed there!

  • We stayed for 4 nights in August. The location could not be better. Walking distance to everything on our itinerary! Room is basic, but has what you need. Bed comfy, ac worked, nice light w windows open and very dark with them shut - we slept GREAT. Carolina met us on time and called to make dinner reservations for us. Check-in and out were super easy.

The tub is a challenge - tiny, on a raised platform so you have to step high into it, slopes down. Not a deal-breaker for such a price and location. Our hot water ran out within a few minutes of showering. We didn't call about it because it was so hot outside (Rome August) and we didn't mind chilly showers.

The flat is right in the historic city center.
It's a small studio really convenient for sleeping only. There is AC and heating if it's necessary.
    The studio is clean.
It was nice to be in the heart of Rome during 4 days. Everything can be visited by walking from the flat if you are not afraid.

  • My husband and I stayed at Diego's flat a few weeks ago and thought it was a nice cozy space for two people. It is situated next to some great restaurants in the Piazza Navona area. It does get fairly noisy at night as the apartment is on the first floor, so if you're a light sleeper, beware, especially on the weekends. The bathroom was really tiny (only one person can fit in there). You had to take your shower within 5 minutes or the water gets cold - and then you'd have to wait another 15 for the water to warm up again.
Aside from that I felt the location was great. It is a quite far from Termini Station so you would have to take a cab or a bus. The bus stop isn't far from the apartment and there is an express bus you can take that takes you straight to Termini. It was walking distance to major sites (Vatican, Coloso, spanish steps, trevi rountain..great bars and restaurants)
Diego met us when we arrived and he was incredibly friendly and helpful with tips on where to eat, where to go. He was also available viatext/phone if we needed him.
Over all I think the aprantment met our expectations based on the reviews from other visitors.

  • The appartment is really great situated in the center of Rome.
Have felt the atmosphere of ancient city.
Regarding the apartment, the ratio price/quality is good.
    It was pretty clean inside.
Wi-fi was really useful, however our cell phone didn't work in the room.
Together we really enjoyed staying in this apartment and will recommend it to our friends.

  • Federico was a wonderful host. We were late coming into town and had to call him last minute for check in. He was very understanding and even provided us with a map and details of great local places around the area. We had some issues with the toilet on our last day and Federico was quick to respond to our concerns. The place was a little noisy at night, because it's in such a great area, but it didn't bother my husband or I. It was the perfect space for a couple traveling across Europe. I highly recommend staying at his studio! We had the best time!

  • Summary: Great location. Poor bathroom. Might be tricky to find (see tips below). Great place for a person or couple who are physically fit and looking to spend 90% of their time out on the streets in Rome (which is really the way you should be doing it!).

    Full review:

The location of this apartment is FANTASTIC. Nearby street restaurants are so much fun and make for a lot of bustle on the street (can be a little noisy in the evenings - so bring some earplugs if that will bother you). There's a grocery store only 100ft or so away from the front door, and you are within easy walking distance of Piazza Novona and other major historic sites. You would have a very hard time finding a better location for someone who is spending a few days seeing the main attractions in Rome.

The apartment itself is small by most standards, but this was not a problem for us (couple in their late 20s) as we were out on the town most of the time, and we mostly just needed a place to sleep. The main drawback on the apartment is the bathroom. The shower only has about 5-10 minutes of hot water and the bathtub is tricky to get into - it is raised pretty high, is small (think the size of a double-sink for washing dishes), and has a steep slope in it that would be dangerous for anyone who wasn't at least moderately agile. Also, if you're bothered by "bathroom sounds" by your partner/co-traveller, this may not be the place for you, as the bathroom door is accordion-style with no sound-proofing. An improved bathroom is all that is needed to make this a five-star accommodation.

Frederico's english is not very good, which can make traveling to the apartment a little disconcerting, when you're trying to locate the place in Rome and find a way to meet up. My advice would be to get the phone number of his assistant, Diego, before you leave. Diego speaks fluent English and is normally the person Frederico assigns to meet tourists coming to stay at the apartment. Also, my wife had the excellent idea of using (website hidden) Street View to visualize/memorize the route between the bus stop we would need to get off at, and the apartment itself. Since Rome's streets can be tricky to navigate, and house numbers aren't very visible, I'd highly recommend doing this.

All in all, for a physically fit person or couple travelling to Rome for no more than a week, I would highly recommend this apartment. Way cheaper than a hotel, and much closer to the action.

  • The studio is located less than 10 minutes from Piazza Navona, and surrounded by alleys with wonderful restaurants and cute little shops. It is on the ground floor, and remains surprisingly cool despite being over 30*C outside, even without the airconditioner working. The check in was easy, with Diego meeting us at the apartment. Everything we needed was in the apartment. Things that may cause an issue for anyone is the noise outside, as there is a restaurant 2 doors away, but it wasn't enough to keep me up all night. The other thing that might cause an issue was the weird shaped tub you had to stand in when taking a shower (although i think you are meant to sit on it??) and the fact that the water heater is so small that you run out of hot water part way through your shower. For us, it was a little annoyance, but still enjoyed our stay! Would recommend staying here!

  • Pros: Awesome location (steps from Piazza Navona on a really cute side street), easy to get in/out, nice check-in, cool (we didn't even need the A/C), includes small kitchen, good WiFi

Cons: Small bathroom, and as they warned us there wasn't much hot water either so one had to take quick showers
