The studio in the redwoods was perfect. I went hiking with family and friends during the day and had a relaxing dinner and evening on the deck at night by myself.
What struck us first is the amazing location of this place. One minute or so outside of Guerneville's main street. Very convenient. We arrived to a bottle of wine and a very cute/clean studio apartment sized room. The room seems small, but has everything you need for two people to live comfortably. the futon bed is a bit small. My husband is 5'11" and his feet hung off the edge. We unpacked, put our car in the secure gated off parking space and walked to town. A very convenient place to stay in a very beautiful region.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this property! The setting is calm, beautiful and convenient to dining and shops in Guerneville. Virginia was a kind and flexible host.
Virginia's Redwood hideaway was exactly that. A nice escape only 70 miles from San Francisco, but you feel like you're way off the grid. The place was very comfortable for one person with basic amenities. I also love that she allows small pets so I could bring my dog with me.
Virginia's place was awesome and exactly as described. My dog and I stayed for 5 days. It's a cozy inviting space that feels like your own private cabin hideway. The porch offers serene views of the surrounding trees and a nice space to eat breakfast or relax. The place is close enough, yet far away from downtown and the river. Also, the bottle of wine left for me was fantastic, I hope to be back again!
