Remarkably lovely, this area is all about redwood trees and natural beauty. The city of Guerneville comes alive with concerts on the river, colorful Bingo games, and an extensive art community. Quaint nearby towns offer a unique movie theater in a Quonset hut, monthly superclubs, community theater, and a public swimming pool. Restaurants vary from lively pubs to hefty breakfast spots and German dining over the river. Ten minutes away by car, Armstrong Woods is famous for silent, exquisite forests and hiking trails. Only twenty minutes away by car is the ocean where sea lions soak in the sun and you can grab a crab sandwich and cappuccino overlooking where the river runs into the sea. Need to relax? Masseuses and spa options abound at nearby. resorts. Golf at nearby Northwoods Country Club. And then there's wine tasting. Russian River has something for everyone and this studio is in the center of it all.
While groceries, restaurants, and the river are available by foot, you will need a car for the ocean, golfing and Armstrong Woods. Public transportation connects nearby towns. Bikes are available for rent as are boats on Johnson Beach.

We enjoyed our stay- the location and setting are perfect. It feels private and woodsy yet it is very close to town. The outdoor space on the deck is lovely. The apartment itself is quite small and a bit musty, but met our needs. The bottle of wine was a sweet touch, and we enjoyed finding ripe blackberries on the road below.
The host was very nice. I had the impression the river would be closer and I specifically asked for a dog friendly one. We found a beach about a mile up the road which was dog friendly but really not good walking distance especially when carrying food, towels, chairs…etc. The dogs next door were too aggressive for us. We were a little nervous the fence wouldn't keep them at bay.
It was a pleasure having you and your son here, Deborah. The Shar-Peis next door were excited about having your dog so close but they are not actually mean; they just sound like it. Jack and Donaugh are actually very sweet and the fence has never been compromised. Come again.
Was a lovely studio. Private entrance and a deck to sit. Easy to find. Parking is odd, but it isn't a flat terrain.
Loved that this property was just a five minute walk into downtown Guerneville - We didn't spend very much time in the studio as we were in Guerneville for a wedding, and the weekend was packed with activities. The studio was slightly smaller than I expected, but communication with host was easy, and she gave good directions on how to get keys, where to park, and seemed very easy going about the whole thing - she even provided an iron and ironing board (we requested it before our arrival). There wasn't curtains on all of the windows, and even though the studio is in the back of the house, the idea of someone being able to walk down onto the deck and look in was a bit unnerving - but overall it was a good experience.
We really enjoyed our stay over the weekend. It was so quiet... A perfect little getaway in the woods, but still convenient to all the amenities in town. We would definitely stay here again!!
The studio in the redwoods was perfect. I went hiking with family and friends during the day and had a relaxing dinner and evening on the deck at night by myself.
What struck us first is the amazing location of this place. One minute or so outside of Guerneville's main street. Very convenient. We arrived to a bottle of wine and a very cute/clean studio apartment sized room. The room seems small, but has everything you need for two people to live comfortably. the futon bed is a bit small. My husband is 5'11" and his feet hung off the edge. We unpacked, put our car in the secure gated off parking space and walked to town. A very convenient place to stay in a very beautiful region.
