This is a custom remodeled 27 foot Airstream set in a beautiful wooded back yard just 3 1/2 miles east of the captiol. The airstream sits on the highest crest in East Austin with a wide view of the valley below. This RV has been remodeled with handmade furniture to feature the beautiful curves of the walls giving it a cozy and spacious feeling. The Rv has AC and heat and features a full size desk, California King Tempeurpedic Bed, and a Full Service Kitchen with sink, coffee maker, burner, toaster oven and refridgerator, plus if you need something that isn't there just ask; I probably have it.
The airstream sits in my backyard which is very secluded and quiet. It features a composting toilet and there is full access to a shared bathroom just inside the house, as well as a beautiful backyard shower and clawfoot bathtub with hot water.
I am a massage therapist and facialist and have an in-home studio. I am happy to offer discounted rates for my guests so just ask. I also offer an herbal bath treatment in the open beauty of the outdoor tub.
There are several restaurants within walking distance. The bus line is close by and easy to use. Look up Metro's Go Line for information before going to catch the bus from Crest Ave-my street.
I have a couple of bicycles you are welcome to borrow with a deposit. There are bike lanes from my home to downtown which is a 15 minute ride. There is also plenty of space for parking right in front of the house if you have a car. This is the best side of town for avoiding traffic both coming and going, easy-in, easy-out.
The cottage is located in a neighborhood of artists, business owners and old neighborhood folks - its in the process of gentrifying which makes the neighborhood economically diverse.
Come experience the Austin East Side.

My girlfriend and I had a truly wonderful stay in the airstream. Deborah made sure that we had everything we needed and knew that we could contact her if we had any questions. It was a very peaceful, quiet, clean getaway. I can't recommend it enough.
Deborah was a very nice host and helpful in every way. The airstream experience was just not what we were expecting. I place more blame on us than anything else. Pictures are not very up to date, airstream was much more cluttered than presented. She had a nice little coffee set-up, but nothing was clean. The bed was reasonably comfortable. Sharing the bathroom was bit more annoying than we anticipated since there is not really a solid door separating the two groups. Overall the airstream was a let down for us personally.
Deborah is a prime example why I love AirBnB so much. First off, it was a little chilly while I was in Austin and what did Deborah do? Check on me constantly and give me extra heaters to keep the airstream nice and warm. Even throughout the day she checked to make sure it was up to par. She was very caring about my stay there and it meant A LOT. I got to hang out with her the first night there and she's very sweet and thoughtful!
The airstream is adorable. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen appliances all work, and it's quiet just 5-10 minutes outside of the city. Yes, the bathroom is inside and shared but honestly it's not a big deal as long as you have an open mind. Which I assume anyone staying in an airstream does have an open mind.
The location is very centralized with a car so getting anywhere is not an issue. There is an adorable cat that lives around the house outside and loves to be loved on and fed.
I couldn't have asked for more from Deborah. She's a beautiful soul and really loves sharing her space to fellow travelers!!! She kept an open text thread with me open until the minute I touched down back home!
Deborah was an excellent host! Everything was clean and lovely, and exactly as described on her host page. The guest view of Austin is uniquely magnificent, and one of my Austin friends was familiar with the street because it is his favorite view of Austin's 4th of July fireworks display. Heartily recommended!
I really enjoyed the airstream--all the comforts of a nice room, with a touch of camping out. The location is great, minutes from downtown and convenience of eastside (i.e you don't need to get on I-35). The view of Austin at night is awesome. Deborah is a terrific host, friendly and conversational. Unfortunately I had to cut my visit short due to the ice storm, but I highly recommend the Airstrieam Getaway.
Deborah is the best. So generous and so helpful, especially during a crazy ice storm that hit Austin! And the airstream is gorgeous. Would love to stay again.
After an absolutely disillusioning experience in dirty old Brooklyn, Deborah's Airstream in her quiet and enchanting back yard was exactly what my partner and I needed.
We were so comfortable in the Airstream. Made a fire, drank a few beers, and had a bath under the stars in the back yard on our first night. It was perfect.
Deborah was helpful, calm, and cared for us warmly. I would recommend this spot for the non-fussy traveler or couple looking for a quiet spot to relax near the city.
The airstream was adorable with an incredible view. It was well equipped and had a comfortable bed. The only downside was that I was in Austin over a particularly cold few days and it was chilly inside the airstream, and the water never quite got hot. Thankfully, there was a hot plate and a tea kettle inside to warm up water as needed.
My partner and I stayed at Deborah's place in Austin for four nights--in the cottage one night and in the airstream for three--we had a great stay. Both locations were beautifully kept and clean. Deborah was very accommodating, yet allowed us great autonomy in her place. My favorite part was the outside bathtub and the view overlooking Austin's downtown lights.
The Airstream and backyard are magical, and Deborah is really cool, representative of the Austin creative vibe.
