The space
Welcome! Come relax in your very own Brooklyn Brownstone apartment— a comfortable, light-filled apartment with gorgeous views of New York City from every window in the top floor of our historic, designer renovated family townhouse in the best neighborhood with quick, easy access to Manhattan.

Note that there are stairs! Enter by coming up the outdoor stoop steps and through the beautiful common entryway, then take the stairs up two flights to your completely private apartment. Original tin ceilings and detailed moldings lend the stylish decor of another era, with modern updates such as dishwasher, ceiling fans, wifi, and AC.

We are a ten minute stroll from the subway (Carroll Stop on the F line) a delightful walk along tree-lined Brooklyn Brownstone streets through the charming Carroll Gardens / Columbia Waterfront neighborhood (adjacent to Cobble Hill and Red Hook)

Alternatively, it's a 15 minute walk to take the ferry at Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park, which is such a fun, easy, and beautiful transportation option over the river to downtown Manhattan. Or you can catch the bus around just around the corner, it's a 2 minute walk from the house.

The kitchen has a variety of dishes and cooking tools including a dishwasher.

Do note that the bathroom is very small with a very small shower and no bathtub. There is a heated bidet toilet. City living!

Small second bedroom is entered via the primary bedroom—the twin bed has a trundle bed that can slide out. The room is small, and please note that it is very tight when the trundle is pulled out! There is also a pack n play/ portable crib for babies and tots.

This space is a walk-up, with 2 interior flights of stairs plus the stoop steps.

There is street parking on our block and surrounding streets. We offer detailed instructions and and advice about parking rules in our guidebook.

We've tried to think of everything to make your stay comfortable, but if you need something please don't hesitate to ask—we live downstairs and are happy to help :)

Please note this *is* a walk-up with lots of stairs, so this home isn't a good fit for anyone with mobility difficulties.

We have a very friendly, hypoallergenic mini-goldendoodle who will be happy to welcome you, but please let us know if you don't like dogs and we'll make sure to keep him away.

Carroll Gardens is one of the most special, charming places on earth (we think it's the best neighborhood in NYC!) Just over the bridge from the Manhattan bustle, you'll find lovely streets lined with gorgeous brownstones and their beautiful namesake gardens. Bordering neighborhoods include Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope, Red Hook, and Boerum Hill.

We have a personalized guide book for you with all the details, but there are so many great cafes, shops, restaurants, bars and sightseeing spots in this neighborhood. You'll be just two blocks from Lucali (the pizza parlor featured in the Netflix series "Ugly Delicious", a favorite with Beyonce and Jay-Z!) a short walk to beautiful green spaces like Carroll Park, Cobble Hill Park, or Brooklyn Bridge Park, and a quick train or cab ride to Manhattan. If you are travelling with small kids, Mother Cabrini Playground is just down the street, and you'll be in good company with local kids riding scooters around the neighborhood streets!
