The condo was very nice. The location is great which is right on the beach and access to a couple of restaurants, and across the bridge is downtown Corpus Christi which has several nice restaurants. Ruth at the front desk is great.
Location: You cannot find a better place in Corpus Christi than this. In front of the Beach, Block away from USS Lexington and Texas State Aquarium and a walk away from Whataburger Field and Downtown.
Host: Chris is by far the best host I have ever come across. He is hospitable, honest and very helpful. Wish every host is like him.
Internet: The Wifi in the condo is slow. It is ok for browsing but if you have to do real work then you have to go to the nearby Starbucks in Portland.
Parking Fee: You have to pay a $15 fee in order to park in the complex.
Roaches: We found roaches in the condo. It seems that the building management has not done a good job when it comes to Pest Control.
Overall, we loved staying here and had one of the nicest vacations in a very long time.
We highly recommend this place to anyone who has Corpus, as a Vacation Destination, on their itinerary.
Pest control has not been an issue in the past and it has been passed on to management. I have not had a complaint regarding that in the last 2 years. Also, I had not had any previous complaints on the wifi since I had in room service installed but will look into it. The $15 fee is listed in the house rules and clearly delineated. It is required by the HOA to cover the costs of checking folks in and out, access keys and parking passes. Thanks for the feedback!
The condo was clean but there are several issue that we have such as WIFi. I checked with Chris before we rent the place wether WiFi available or not. He replied that his condo had WiFi. We were kind of disappointed about that. Also, one of the condo that we rent, the remote control was missing, After I texted him, he brought a new remote control for us the next day. Those were the 2 main problem, everything else we can manage. One good thing about this place was close to the beach and other attractive places such as aquarium , battle ship etc...
My stay was great! The property was just as described, spotlessly clean, and s(phone number hidden)convenient! Right on the beach, balcony facing the water, and within walking distance (as long as a mile one way doesn't frighten you) of the USS Lexington and the Aquarium!! Definitely recommend.
Excellent stay. Excellent location. Easy, stress free check in. The condo had everything we'd need and it was great having our morning coffee overlooking the gulf from our balcony.
This is a very good location in Corpus Christi if you want to stay in the North Beach area close to the aquarium and USS Lexington, as it is in walking distance. There are also several decent restaurants with water views that are casual and beach friendly.
The view is not quite as advertised in the pictures, you do have to go out on the balcony and look to your left to get the full beach view, but you can see the ocean from the condo.
The bed was comfortable, but really squeaky, oddly enough. The couch is veryyyyy comfortable to sleep on for one person. The bunk beds are very narrow and only suitable for young children.
The complex management was very easy to work with at check in and the pool area is nice and the pool is heated - which I loved since it was spring.
There were not enough bath towels, kitchen towels or blankets. And the kitchen was missing some simple items like a cutting board, dishwashing liquid and salt and pepper.
Thanks for your review. Please not that I ask for guest to contact me if they note any issues so I have a chance to correct them. All of these I could have fixed in a short period of time. We are in a transition period with housekeepers. Thank you again for leaving a review and I hope you had a safe trip home!
Our stay with Chris did not work out, but he was very gracious in making other arrangements. Sorry we could not enjoy the beach!
Amazingly close to the ocean with a great view. Enjoyed waking to the sound of the ocean and seagulls. The condo was clean and tidy, very comfortable for two adults. Chris answered my phone call immediately, shortly after our arrival and helped me feel right at home.
The interior of the condo was renovated nicely, it was clean, and the balcony had a nice view of the bay. The building was very run down though, and there's really no entertainment or food anywhere nearby. This isn't really the host's fault, but, for the area, a hotel would have been a better value.
