Interaction with Guests
I work in an office downtown so I usually don't get back to the apartment until around 6 on weekdays.
I go downtown most weekends but I mostly keep to myself during the week. If you'd like suggestions on outings or restaurants I'm glad to give advice or directions! If I'm heading out to meet friends you're welcome to join as well - Charleston is an extremely easy city to meet people in!
My neighborhood is a safe, quiet street in Mount Pleasant. Mount Pleasant is a very family-friendly and easy-going atmosphere with lots of casual restaurants and shopping, as well as some finer dining and boutique-type shops.
I love it here because there's extremely little crime and everyone is very friendly, not to mention the location is perfect - right between historic downtown and Charleston's best beaches.
If you are flying into Charleston, I always recommend renting a car. Taking a cab from the airport will run you at least $30 if not more, and heading downtown from Mount Pleasant is usually at least $20. Public transit is not a strong suit of the southern states since we have more land and most every resident has their own vehicle.
You are still welcome to stay with me if you are not intending to rent a car! Just remember you will be paying a good bit in cab fare.
Mindy is wonderful. It was a last minute booking and she accommodated brilliantly. I'd stay there again for sure
Mindy was a brilliant host, her house was was delightful and she was super easy and helpful to talk to, her dog is also very friendly! I really enjoyed my stay with her and would definitely recommend staying with Mindy to anyone looking to visit the charleston area!
The apartment was perfect for my one-night stay: easy access, comfortable bed, quiet, secure, full kitchen.
This room was exactly where the title said, Halfway between downtown and the beach and was located in a nice little area of Charleston. Mindy was nice and the place was very clean. I would recommend a stay here and would stay again.
Mindy was such a friendly and helpful host. She lives in a safe and quiet neighborhood, with a warm and welcome room to stay in. This was one of my first Air BnB experiences and I'm glad it was at Mindy's - she was very kind to offer anything I might need including recommendations for things to see in Charleston. I would definitely stay with her again!
Easy. A great place for the price, Mindy was clear and prompt. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
Mindy was great. I was in town for work. The place was clean and quiet and as described. Mindy was friendly and her pup was, too! I would definitely recommend!
26 y/o young professional. Work the typical 9-5 at a software company downtown. Have a 4 year old rescue dog who is extremely friendly! I've lived in Charleston 4 years and know the area very well, would be glad to make any suggestions for restaurants and things to do around town!
