It was an amazing and beautiful apartment, Vanessa was more than helpful, It was great that she was able to tell us what some great things there are to do in Cuenca! And if we ever needed anything she was always available! Amazing host!

Let me begin by saying that we stayed here in the winter. Our very big complaint is we were miserably cold…I mean terribly, awful cold. We are from New Hampshire and we keep our thermostat at home between 62-65. So, we are used to the cold. This place was so cold we could not shower. In fact we had to sleep with all of our clothes and parkas on. Vanessa did not turn the heat on before we arrived and kept it at the lowest setting when she let us into the apartment. The T.V may have been operable but we could not figure out how to turn it on and there were no instructions for it. There were no instructions for the oven which we also could not turn on. There was no kettle. The kitchen had zero in it as far as condiments. I mean not even salt. Beware the apartment is up 3 or 4 flights of stairs. There is no internet. The old town where it is situated has no grocery or bakery. You have a 15 minute walk into the main part of town to get food.

Response from Vanessa:
I am very sorry that you got cold in my house. That day it there was a huge snowfall and the temperatures were very low. It is not true that our heating were not connected before you arrived. I turned it on two days before as usual to be sure the house is in the correct temperature for you. Furthermore. Our heating is electrical and, of course, it was not stated to the minimum value but to the highest one. The problem is that you ignored my recommendations and modified the settings of the heater resulting in turning it off by mistake. Anyways, I gave you my mobile phone and clearly advised you to call me in the case you have any problem at any time. Again it is not true that there were no groceries in 15 minutes around. You can kindly enter to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps and check the distance between my house in Cesareo Olivares Nº3 Street and Alonso de Ojeda Street (just 100 meters away you can find a grocery) and in Puerta de Valencia Nº 9 Street (190 m away) you can find a bakery, a butcher´s shop and a fruit shop. The nearest supermarket is just 390m away in Las Torres Nº16 Street (4 minutes by walk according to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps) I Indicated to you the fastest way to walk up to there while explaining where the tapas zone was placed. Regarding our TV, the model is Panasonic TX-L32C20EA), a very common model which operability is as simple as any other normal TV. You can turn it on and off from the remote control as in the rest of TVs in the word. I am sorry but did not consider necessary to put instructions in English for that. By the way, remote control is always placed close to the TV. I am very sorry you´re stay was not comfortable but, in my opinion, all these problems could have been solved with a simple phone call. It would have been a pleasure to help you in time.

Vanessa was gracious, lovely and very helpful. The location of the apartment is great, and we actually enjoyed hiking the many steps up to the cathedral and other main attractions of this incredible city!! The apartment is just as advertised in the photos. Note that it is on the top floor and there is no lift. We have no complaints whatsoever.

What a great little apartment! Located between the old city and the new city, it was perfect for sight seeing during the day and grabbing a friendly dinner/drink in the evening. There's a really nice little bar just around the corner from the apartment too. Communication was super easy and friendly. We'd definitely stay here again if returning to Cuenca!

I did not meet Vanessa in person, but she was very much available by message. Her mum welcomed us and was very friendly. She made me sign a "House rules Code fo Conduct", which was a bit surprising and in my view not necessary considering how Airbnb works, but why not. The flat is very modern and clean. I strongly advise guests to not go to the old town by car, unless it's a compact one. Driving in the narrow streets was quite tricky. The walk for the car park is not far.

We went to visit Cuenca for a weekend. The apartment of Vanessa was perfect, big enough for 3 people and in a beautiful building in front of a park. It's very clean and quiet. There is a balcony from where there is a beautiful view. It's also really well situated, close to all the interesting places of Cuenca ! We were welcomed by her mum who were also really nice. Before our arrival Vanessa send us lots of details about the area, where we can go to eat, ... Also she always responded immediately to my messages. I would definitely recommend this place !
