Shorefront Cottage is a quintessential coastal Maine cottage that overlooks the waters of Southwest Harbor. Set in Southwest Harbor, the Shorefront Cottage has water views from the kitchen/living area, as well as the master bedroom. Off the kitchen there are water views from the deck and lawn with stairs the lead to the rocky shore. The shops and restaurants all within a 15 minute walk down the tree lined streets and many of Acadia’s hidden gems are within a 10 minute drive of the house.

The space
The house is built into the side of a small hill with the basement and laundry being on the ground floor and opening into the parking area on the back lawn. There are both interior and exterior stairs that lead up to 2nd floor. On the second floor you will find the harbor view deck that leads to the open concept kitchen/living area. Additionally on the second floor you will find a family room with a queen futon, a bedroom with a queen size bed and one full bathroom. There is an additional set of stair that lead to the upper floor where you will find the twin bedroom and the master king bedroom with a harbor view, as well as an additional full bath. There is a working fishing pier next door, which receives vehicle traffic at different hours throughout the day.

Guests have the entire house and grounds to themselves.

Though we go by the strict cancellation policy, if we can re-book those dates, we will refund as much of your money as we can.

We are open to multi-week rentals, but only in 1-week increments, Saturday to Saturday. Please contact us if interested.

Neighborhood highlights

The shady neighborhood streets are an excellent place to walk. A 15-20 minute walk takes you to an old stone causeway, with a millpond on one side and the ocean on the other. Southwest Harbor is a vibrant little town with restaurants, gift stores, and grocery stores.
