The space
It takes 60 minutes by car to get to Mount Fuji from our place. You get the entire guesthouse to yourself. Our guesthouse has no stairs, so it is very kid friendly. In addition to having access to your own fully-equipped kitchen, you can also eat in the outdoor kitchen which connects to our beautiful Japanese garden. If you have kids, they can ride ripstiks in our huge garage. There are also bikes to borrow. If you are arriving on your own bicycle, there is a cycling path along the Kamanashi River that takes you within a few minutes of our door. Furthermore, we have a 1,000-foot (300-metre) well which produces delicious mineral water! Our place is an ideal sanctuary for exhausted travellers.

Located in the heart of Yamanashi Prefecture, it boasts a pristine 300-metre sprinkling of spontaneous well water.
You will have access to the detached house as a guest house with an outdoor kitchen and laundry.
Across the road is a very affordable Happo, a 3-minute walk away is a shopping center (Ogino Mall), and along the way is a Sun Drug and Family Mart.
Within a 5-minute walk, you can find a yakitori shop (net), yakiniku meat shop, ramen shop, beef horn,
A 10-minute walk brings you to Hama Sushi and
a 15-minute walk brings you to the largest Aeon shopping mall in the prefecture and along the way you'll find a very convenient location with Comeda Coffee, Takakura Coffee, and World Cafe.

Where you’ll be

Chūō, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan

We live surrounded by mountains, but there is a big shopping centre just 3-minutes walk away and a huge shopping mall just 15-minutes walk away. In addition, there is a fantastic and inexpensive fruit and vegetable shop just a 1-minute walk from the guesthouse. Furthermore, there are several restaurants and convenience stores within a few hundred metres of our guesthouse. Finally, we have a fantastic sushi delivery service. Although there is a commercial laundry just a few minutes walk from the guesthouse, you can wash your clothing and use the gas dryer in the laundry room located in the garage.

I am a tourism blogger living in Yamanashi, Japan. I also assist the local government and local businesses to make the most of tourism in this area. I know Yamanashi like no other foreign resident as I have been visiting this area for the past 25 years.

Although I currently live in Japan, I am actually a Canadian who spent 20 years of his life working in the Middle East.

Come enjoy "slow tourism" in Yamanashi. I promise you won't be disappointed.
