Second time I've stayed at Claire and Jo's place and highly recommend it! Close to everything but in a nice quiet neighborhood, they are super friendly and give you all the advice needed to have a great time in Dublin!
We were 4 friends visiting Dublin. We met Connor, Jo's husband ,at the airport. He was very nice and gave us the keys and a (website hidden) was very kind aswell and texted us to check if everything was ok. The cottage is confortable and it's just a walk away from the city centre. Confortable beds and the heating works ok. We really enjoyed our stay in Dublin!
Excellent location for foodies and craft beer devotees: very close to some of the top Northside gastropubs and craft beer havens. Really enjoyed the quietness of the street, and had some wonderful nights of sleep on a really comfy bed.
Claire and Jo set up the place perfectly--upon arrival we found a stocked fridge, coffee and tea, and a second set of keys for our staying-over friends.. Also we really enjoyed perusing the library in the front room, and their collection of historical materials. Meg and I (both transportation history buffs) enjoyed our walks through the neighborhood checking out the canal and Broadstone Station grounds.
My three friends and I stayed in the cottage as a nice getaway from our work in Morocco. It was an awesome experience. Claire met us at the cottage even though our flight got in at midnight. She gave us great advice for our trip and left a packet of information for us to use. They were very quick to respond to questions we had about the city via the airbnb app. It easily slept four people and was warm and clean. Overall, I would recommend to anyone visiting Dublin who wants to stay somewhere quiet, but still be within easy walking distance of all the sights!
Great cottage! Perfect location and very close to downtown. Great kitchen and space. Comfortable beds. We had the best time in Dublin. Claire and Jo are great; they even left us with some bagels and juice for an easy breakfast.
We had a wonderful stay at Claire and Jo's cottage, a very charming, homely, old house. It was soooooo central, even with our two toddlers (3 yrs and 1 yr) it was no problem to walk to central Dublin. The house itself had everything you need, we stayed in winter so we recommend for other winter stayers to keep the heating on all day otherwise it gets a bit cold given that it is an old house. Claire was also amazing because she provided us with some kids book because our daughter forgot hers at home, so accommodating! Dublin itself was lovely, and people so friendly and outgoing, loved it.
Fantastic cosy cottage close to the centre of Dublin. Claire and Jo were fantastic hosts who were flexible when we had to change flights. They provided us with bagels for breakfast, which was really kind.
There is lots of space here for 2 couples or a family to enjoy time together comfortably.
Claire and Jo provided a great booklet of things to do and places to go in Dublin, and their recommendations were spot on.
A great stay!
Claire and Jo lived happily in Shamrock Street until they finally grew up and moved in with their other halves! We were born in Dublin and have a good knowledge of this great city which we love to share with guests to make their trip to Dublin a memorable one.
We have many happy memories of living in Shamrock Street and are happy to share this special place with you!
