Our neighborhood is amazing! There are coffee shops, bars, restaurants and parks within walking distance. Edna valley wine country is a 15 minute drive from the house. Surf spots are moments from the door step. We have ocean on one side and coastal mountains on the other. This is a family friendly vacationers paradise with so much to do and see: sea elephants, monarch butterfly migration grove, golf courses, lakes, and hikes all nearby.
San Luis Obispo county has many great hikes, delicious food and kind people.
There is plenty of safe street parking right in front of the house. The county busing system stops a few blocks away which can get you from Santa Maria to Paso Robles. The Amtrak train station is a short walk from the front door. If you are looking to just get to Pismo it is an easy 10 minute bike ride or a 5 minute drive. San Luis Obispo is a 15 minute drive.
Other Things to Note
There is a bike, beach towels, a kayak, paddle board, surf board, and boogie boards you can use while you stay.
I am knowledgeable about the area if you have specific requests just write to me and I will give you recommendations.
This is a peaceful creative home not a hotel please leave it as you found it. Pets are allowed as long as you clean up after them. Smoking is okay outside. There is a shared wall with neighbors, please be conscientious of noise.
The house was a little bohemian but we liked it. Brought our Lab and she loved the big back yard. Gina provided everything her ad stated. Couldn't find a coffee maker so bring your instant. A good time was had by all( 4 of us). The price was right
Gina's home was wonderful! We had six girls staying at the house and there was plenty of room. Everything was clean and very homey. We loved all of the décor and her dining room table is wonderful for long dinners with wine. We spent some time in downtown Pismo and it's just a short drive to all the cute shops and restaurants.
Although we didn't meet, Gina was very hospitable and getting to her house was very easy. Overall, a nice stay although the TV didn't work (kept cutting in and out with the WiFi, since there's no cable). The house was decorated nice though had a bit of a hippie feel to it :)
The television is hard wired to cable internet. The wifi is offered for auxiliary devices. The provider of cable internet on the Central Coast is Charter. That's not up to me. Charter has a poor business model and filed chapter 11 a few years ago. I used to work in telecommunications. Charter has chosen not to invest in the infrastructure to handle the online load during peak hours in this area. Even if guets had been watching cable television they would have had problems.
I have only had buffering issues once or twice in the last two years. I am sorry that these guests happened to be here when Charter was down. I was staying at a hotel near San Francisco recently and the exact same thing happened. This can happen anywhere anytime unless you own a T3 or satellite and even then there can be electromagnetic interference (solar flares etc.). Life is imperfect, enjoying the improvisation in the key. I hope they still enjoyed their stay.
My friends and I rented out the entire house for the weekend of September 26th-28th. There's a total of 6 of us staying at the house and we we able to fit everyone comfortable. Our host, Gina, was very welcoming even though we didn't get the opportunity to actually meet up in person. We did communicate well with each other so that we didn't have to meet up. She told us to make ourselves at home and was very inviting. Everything she mentioned on the listing's description was pretty much accurate. The two rooms she had there were very spacious. The house itself is very cozy and unique. I really loved the decor and everything she had in it. Even the backyard had a bonfire pit with seats. The neighborhood was really quiet and seemed peaceful. The house was really close to the beach so it wasn't a far drive. My friends and I had a wonderful experience staying at this location.
Gina was such a welcoming host. Although we never met, her home was warm and inviting. She has quite a taste for art and design, and we enjoyed the decor of her home. The space was more than sufficient for our family of 5, and Gina was generous with the sharing of all the spaces of her home. We loved that she left beach toys for us to play with...and we did :) Her home is, as she stated, a short distance from the beach; a little too far to walk but just a few minutes in the car. We loved the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. We would gladly stay here again and we definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.
It was absolutely amazing! The artwork, plates, furnitures and everything else in the house was beautiful. It was very easy to find kitchenware to use and she also offered tea and coffee which were perfect for our group. Her tv also had a lot of good things to watch and rested very well. Highly recommended!
Great little home that fit us 6 girls perfectly! Gina had clean towels and sheets ready for us, and we felt very at home in her house for the weekend. Lots of fun art pieces all over her house. Thanks Gina!
