This is the master bedroom in a three-bedroom flat in Brooklyn in the newly remodeled pre-war Edward Apartments. The classy remodel kept exposed brick walls and enormous south-facing windows. Kitchen is brand new and well-appointed by a foodie. The roof deck a few floors up (almost like an additional living room) is stunning. We have yet to find a more perfect spot for morning yoga or an evening smoke or beer. And it has a fireplace.
You get a Queen and plenty of dresser and closet space to make yourself at home. We have a hair drier, towels and toiletries for you.
You are located half a block from Bedford avenue, the center of the action in the coolest neighborhood in town. Nearby you'll find (among many more) The Sketchbook Project, Mast Brothers' Chocolate, Traif, Blue Bottle Coffee, Spuytin' Duyvil, Saltie, Pies 'n Thighs, Cafe Moto, Marlow & Sons, Marlow & Duaghters, EAT, the Brooklyn Kitchen, Fette Sau, Caracas, Barcades...
You're a five minute walk from the L train and one subway stop from Manhattan. You're also a nice walk to the beautiful East River Ferry, which puts you a few stops from Brooklyn Bridge Park, Downtown and Midtown.
We look forward to hosting you!
The appartment is in a great position in Brookly and Jason is a great host but really dirty. It is a pity.
Jason was great! Very welcoming and an ace for food recommendations! The location was good. An easy walk to the train and near everything you need.
The building itself was remodeled not to long ago and is already falling apart. As the rest of the reviews state, this place is not for the clean freak.
Jason is Really friendly host And will give you a Lot of advices what you can do around the area. The bed is really comfortable and there is Lot of Storage for your suitcases And Shopping bags. In the room. The view is Great. Anyway, The Place Lacks a bit of cleaning. We Really dont have a Mania for cleaniness, but cleaniness is Really Important for you, you might Not feel so comfy.

Jason is a really nice guy, very friendly even if we didn't have much interaction with him because we were only at the flat during the evening.
The room (master bedroom) was great and the neighborhood is nice and safe.
However, we have 2 main comments concerning our stay. Jason rents another room so you have to share the flat with 2 other people and unfortunately we shared it with 2 very noisy persons (chatting, laughing and screaming all night long). They were also quite dirty so the bathroom was really dirty during the 10 days we stayed (except one day when the cleaning has been made). And that's the other comment : the flat was lacking a bit of cleaning. It was a pity for us coz even if our stay in NY was really great, we were a bit disappointed every night when we had to go back to the flat.
But we think with other guests and with more cleaning, the flat would have been perfect for a stay in Big Apple !
Nice welcoming host with amazing rooftop view, but the room gets pretty hot with just a fan. The place is definitely in need of care with a lot of clutter and dirt. We wrote 'clean me' in the dust on the bedroom shelf. Door handles were falling off, shower button needs fixing, no hand wash or hand towel, toilet paper was so thin it was see through, & no locks on any doors in the house. It was in a good location & our host kindly have us all the local attractions to visit. Easy to get into Manhattan on the subway.
A nice apartment in a rather quiet corner of Wiiliamsburg/NY with nearby good eateries/restaurants, shops and entertainment. Old/industrial look gives substance to a modern/hip/artistic environment. You feel safe even in evening hours. Much garbage in the streets, but that seems normal in the New York suburbs. The apartment #20 (and not #30) is on the 4th floor. Jason lives there and his living room is a little bit messy and it could be a littlebit cleaner. If you are used to a 'student-home-situation' you will not have problems, but for me, I thought "I can stand it, because it is only for a week". The bedroom and the bathroom: the same. No lock on the doors and several things that has to be repaired. The rooftop terrace is very nice indeed: by day and night a nice view over Williamsburg and Manhattan. Jason, be more concerned about cleaning and reparation ! and more people can enjoy the stay at your apartment in Williamsburg/New York.
It was great staying with Jason! The appartment was nice, he had made lists of what to see in the area and we felt very welcome. It was a bit warm at night though;-)
Great views of Manhattan from the rooftop, nice house (though common areas could have been cleaner) and lively neighborhood. Well connected to Manhattan by subway (L train 5-8 min walking distance from the house). We regret we did not have much of interaction with our host during the stay. Cheers, Andrea & Giorgia
