About this listing
In the heart of Williamsburg, this is a super sweet, clean and comfortable full apartment with tons of sunlight, wood floors, and great space in a beautiful and charming 1920's townhouse. The apartment has one bedroom with queen size bed, living room with sofa bed, charming eat in kitchen and one bathroom with claw foot tub. There is also a small room off the bedroom that can be used as an office/work space. This apartment is solely for Airbnb rentals so there will be no one else's personal clutter to get in your way. The apartment doesn't lack for amenities though. The bathroom is stocked with towels and bath products. The kitchen likewise has everything for you're basic cooking needs including microwave and coffee machine. There is a 42-in flat screen TV with satellite TV and Nintendo Wii and there is wifi. Whether you are visiting NYC on a short holiday or for longer stays for business or work, this is the place for you. The building is just off of Bedford Ave. which is Williamsburg's "Main Street". So you will be super close to a wide range of great and affordable restaurants, super cool bars and boutiques. Oslo Coffee, the best coffee in the neighborhood (in my humble opinion) is right around the corner. It is an 8 minute walk from the Bedford stop on the L train (1 stop away from Manhattan).
This is a 3rd floor apartment (walk up).
My wife, baby and I live in the first 2 floors of the building and I use the 3rd floor as my studio. I am always nearby if the need arises. I'll be happy to give you recommendations for some of my favorite neighborhood spots or help out with directions.
Sorry but no smoking and no pets.
It is difficult to add much more than that said by all the other guests who have stayed at this wonderful location. We have just returned from spending two weeks with Javier and his family, they are exceptional hosts, warm & welcoming but not in your face, in fact they left us to it most of the time and went on vacation themselves. The apartment is spotless, extremely well appointed in decoration and furniture, lots of lovely quirky bits & pieces. Excellent bathroom with loads of hot water. The bits you need to know are, if you want a real NY experience, then this is the place for you. Think about some of the old films featuring NY with neighbours sitting on the front steps of their houses all gathered round talking and exchanging the daily gossip, this is exactly how it is today, the local people are great, eager to make your acquaintance, happy to offer advise and friendship. Walking around the blocks admiring the street art is a fascinating experience. The walk down Bedford Avenue to the metro is lined with traders selling everything from food, furniture, jewellery, old keep sakes and much more, local junk and reclamation shops abound as well as high end boutiques. Whether it was morning, noon or night, at no point did we feel unsafe, infact it was totally the opposite, it is literally a 10 min walk to the L line on the Subway in one direction or a 10 min walk to Marcy Av which gives you the J,M,Z lines direct to Lower Manhattan or out to Coney Island, this route to LM is incredible it is high level over the Williamsburg Bridge, which offers incredible views of the Manhattan Skyline & the Brooklyn Bridge. Williamsburg is a great film shooting location and it is easy to spot all sorts of famous locations as you walk around the area, we witnessed Law & Order being filmed right around the Block, days earlier Tom Cruise was shooting an action shot at Driggs Ave for his next high octane movie, complete with FBI agents, a van laid on its side billowing smoke & fire, wow it was a regular treat of real NY life. Local cafe owner John who runs the Bee Hive Cafe at the end of the street made us real welcome, explaining and treating us to real southern cooking & hospitality, even offering his personal umbrellas and chairs to take to the beach for a day, other great places to eat include Pies & Thighs, Sausage Grill, Salt & Charcoal and many others. Further down the street is Ladder 104 & Engine 221 Station for NY finest the NYFD, we were fortunate enough to witness the renaming of this part of south 2nd street to Paul Warhola Way, after this fire fighter died in the line of duty six years ago, an incredible experience. We wanted the real NY, and we couldn't of asked for more. FIVE BIG STARS***** Thanks...
Thank you very much Javier for your kindness. It was a wonderful
standing. regards Andreas and Lara
My sister-in-law and I have just returned from a wonderful first time visit to New York. Javier made us feel very welcome from the outset. Our apartment was spacious, comfortable and very well appointed. Fresh fruit and basic daily supplies were there for us when we arrived, which enabled us to feel very much at home. The Williamsburg location was a perfect, peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of central New York, with fabulous cafes and restaurants at our doorstep. Javier was on hand to give welcome advice when we needed it but the independence we gained from having our own space was a highlight for us. We would recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to experience the best of both worlds when visiting this fabulous city.

Javier is a very genial host and on arrival had the kitchen supplied with bread, milk, juice, coffee, and fruit.
The apartment is spacious and airy, and as shown by the photographs very nicely decorated. Plenty of dining options nearby too.
Javier is wonderful and generous host. His space is lovely and was a perfect place for me to stay while visiting Brooklyn. I highly recommend it as a fabulous well-appointed apartment where you can eat in easily or head out to experience the best of Brooklyn. Loved it!
We loved staying in this apartment. Javier was quick to reply when I contacted him before and even though he was away on our first night there he made sure someone met us when we arrived and was available of we needed them.
It really did feel like our own home in Williamsburg. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is modern and clean, in fact the whole apartment was spotless. The apartment has a charming character with board games, guide books and art books galore. Javier had provided us with some groceries too which is a lovely touch. The neighbourhood is lively and great to explore. We were sad to leave the place.
About the Host, Javier
I am an artist and have lived in Williamsburg for over 15 years. I work from home and care for our 2 year old son. I'm sure you'll enjoy visiting our neighborhood as much as we enjoy living here.
