Enjoy a large private room and views of the ocean, Morro Rock, and avocado groves. Easy access to the beach, hiking trails and scenic Highway 1.
Private bedroom and bathroom and access to the rest of the house. The bedroom has a queen bed and large closet. There is a folding cot available for extra guests. Full bathroom is just across the hall.
You will have access to the full house except for the master bedroom/bath.
The living room is huge with an amazing view of the ocean and Morro Rock. There is also a large TV and a fireplace.
The deck also has great views of Rock, the ocean, and the surrounding farms and avocado groves. A great place to watch the sunset.
The kitchen is fully equipped and spacious. Breakfast will generally be help yourself from a selection of fruit and cereal, but if I'm cooking something I'll make enough for everyone.
Interaction with Guests
I work from home most of the time, so I will generally be around. I can help you find something interesting to do in the area.
Not that you will have any trouble finding something to do. Morro Bay itself has whale watching, kayaking, surfing, and great seafood.
10 minutes away is Los Osos with Montana de Oro state park, the Elfin Forest, and the Monarch butterfly migration.
15 minutes away is San Luis Obispo, with great hiking, the Madonna Inn, and one of the last remaining drive-in Theaters.
30 minutes inland is Paso Robles, the heart of the Central Coast's wine country and the site of the Mid-State Fair.
40 minutes up Highway 1 is Hearst Castle and the elephant seal breeding grounds.
Public transit isn't great, but there is a county wide bus system to get you between cities.
Other Things to Note
I don't have a way of listing it on the calendar, but if you are booking with a checkout of Tuesday the checkout time will have to be by 7:30 am.
Most restaurants in the area close between 8 and 9pm so if you plan on eating out you'll need to arrive before that.
Shoes are ok in the house if they are clean, otherwise please leave them at the door.
If you are having food, please use the dining table or the kitchen counter.
Don't worry about making the bed when you leave, I'll be changing the sheets anyway.
Jolie maison avec vue éblouissante sur le Rocher ! Accueil cordial par Philip. Chambre et salle de bain personnelle propres et confortable. Bien pour notre étape nuit entre LA et SF.
Phillip is a very reserved host and keeps to himself. But his hospitality and arrangement for us was nothing short of good. His house is in a splendid spot and the room was very comfortable too. We were three of us and he had pre-arranged everything in order (3 towels, 3 water bottles, sheets etc). The breakfast too was good (cereal, yogurt, juice). All in all, no regrets stopping over. It was unfortunate we couldn't spend more time at Morro Bay
Phillip was a very accommodating host who provided every amenity you could want. The house was beautiful and use of the deck/living room was much appreciated. A great place to stay!
We stayed at Phillip's place for a night and the view from his living room is absolutely spectacular. One feels as if living on the beach! Morro Rock- the topmost attraction of Morro Bay is right in front of you all the time and there is a telescope to enjoy the views.
The house has all the frills and is beautiful. Haven't seen such wide variety of syrups in anyone's kitchen ever !
Phillip is a great host. He helped us plan our trip on the pacific coast. We also enjoyed pinning our native place on the big globe.
Wish we could have stayed longer!
Accommodated us on short notice while we were in transit. Agreeable Host, close to US 1. Peaceful place where I was able to complete college coursework in the morning.
Lovely home high on hill overlooking Morrow Bay and Rock. Private bath. Breakfast. Washing machine & dryer. Very pleasant host. Immaculate premises. Chocolates on pillow

I am a programmer for a local software company. I enjoy meeting locals when I travel and I have a spare room, so I thought I'd offer it up to other travelers.
