This wonderful self-catering house is located in the South of the Peloponese. Surrounded by amazing view of hills and olive trees and looking down to the sea, the house is a heaven of peace where you can enjoy nature and a simple country life. Situated between two traditional villages (Asopos and Elia) it is only 15 minutes walk from the nearest beach and 15-20 minutes drive from other nearby beaches. While the area is untouched by tourism, the house is very close to important archeological sites: the Byzantine castle of Monemvasia (with sophisticated bars and cafes for your nightlife), the castle of Mystras, the village of Areopoli, and more. IYou may choose a quite vacation walking to nearby villages and tavernas or use the place as your basis and take day trips to the nearby beautiful islands of Cythera and Elafonisos
The house sleeps four people, it is equipped with kitchenette, air conditioning, and laundry, balconies and terraces with great views.

On arriving we were welcomed by Yannis and shown where to park our car- in the shade of a wonderfull old and enormous olive tree that must be over 400 years old. We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is new, clean and in very good condition and conveniently situated just a few minutes drive from Elea, a lovely little fishing village with restaurants where you can sit right beside the sea overlooking the boats- delightful for lunch or dinner. Even closer there is the a good swimming beach with a taverna where we went for lunch. The same distance in the other direction takes you to the pretty farming village of Asopos with its wonderful church surrounded by palm trees. We liked to come here for our food shop. Carry on to find the delightful,Bozza beach or another 5 minutes brings you to another small village called Plytra with a soft white sandy beach which is popular in the holiday season. The house is is in a peaceful position with a good sized garden with lots of flowering plants and surrounded by olives and figs. A lovely short walk from the house leads up the path beside the fig field where you will find a beautiful view of the coastline and across the Laconian Gulf to the Taygetos mountains on the Mani. A great place for evening drinks or morning coffee is the roof terrace with splendid views over the rolling olive groves, the sea and down to Elea. The house has everything you would expect, is bright and airy with lots of windows, a small but well equipped kitchen with a good sized fridge for keeping all your drinks cool; very comfortable beds and excellent quiet air-con which is very welcome in the hotter months. We love this area of the Peloponnese and its just a 30 minute drive to Monemvasia too which is a worth a visit. The owner was very helpful and made our booking easy. Stephen and Linda, Cornwall, UK
Aktina and her cousin on the ground were very helpful and kind and really available. The view from the balcony at dusk was beautiful. Unfortunately for us, this wasn't the place we were expecting, it was much closer to the main road than we had hoped (a quiet road but nevertheless a main one) and the closest beach was not I suppose what we imagined when we thought of Greece, it was more of a party beach with loud techno. There are some other nicer beaches elsewhere within easy driving distance but we were hoping to ditch the car and get around on bikes. Perhaps naively. Through no fault of Aktina's this was just not the place for us. I'm sure others will enjoy it.

I am a performing artist originally from Greece currently living and working in NYC. Before NYC I lived in Toronto Canada for 7 years where I did grad school in theater studies. I have grown up in Athens and I have spent beautiful summers in the south of Greece, in that specific house which I love and call home. Since I am away most of the year I want to make the house available to guests who will appreciate an authentic simple country life style, mingle with the locals and enjoy the wonderful nature and sites.
