We had a wonderful stay at windancer lookout! We explored Helen, some of the wineries and enjoyed the house's amenities and views. Great amenities Included a fire pit, grill, hot tub, fire place and board games to name a few! We would love to come back!
The house was nice, clean and cozy, and Patty and her team were absolutely wonderful when we had issues. We usually received an emailed response within 10 minutes with an explanation and a resolution. Patty also worked hard to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The neighborhood was quiet and quaint. Our German Shepherds favorite part was curling up to the fire on the cold nights. The valley overlooks the east, and we were able to watch the full moon rise over the mountains.
Nice house as described. The cabin was clean with plenty of room for our family. Due to the nature of our visit (family wedding), we did not spend much time at the house.
We had an amazing stay at Windancer. Patty was incredibly helpful and responded right away to any questions we had. The home was absolutely gorgeous with beautiful decorations. The firepit outside was definitely a favorite! Each room was very comfortable. There were games and books for everyone to use. The porch was awesome too, with lots of seating and beautiful mountain views. We couldn't have picked a better house for our family vacation. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! We look forward to coming back.
The pictures were very representative of the cabin. I had a little trouble getting in when we first arrived, but Patty answered quickly and got us past the bump. Frankly, it was me just not working the lock correctly.
We had a lovely time and enjoyed the view and hot tub. Having a washer and dryer was very handy and the wifi was dependable. The cabin was very comfortable. Wish we could have turned off the flood lights at night.
I will definitely tell the owners about the dead tree. They took out tons of trees below, which surprised me. They didn't have much of a view prior. I've recently taken over and my to do list includes gathering local info to leave inside. Thanks for the reminder however, I think it's falling off my list, so I need to make sure and add it back! Thanks for taking time to review and share.
What a great cabin! Loved every bit of it. The fire pit, the hottub, the screened in porch, and the views are awesome! Helen GA, only a 10 minute drive, is a wonderful little town for all ages! Great food, river tubing, putt putt, and tons of little shops! Only problem was the hottub being more of pool temperature. We will recommend to friends and hope to be back!!

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Chattahoochee River, this Northeast Georgia village has a rich history linked to the Cherokee Indians and Indian burial mounds as well as early settlers who arrived to mine for gold and cut virgin timber for a thriving lumber industry in the early 1900s. Helen is a re-creation of an alpine village complete with cobblestone alleys and old-world towers. We've got shopping, camping, both rustic and luxury mountain cabins, restaurants, theater, recreation, romantic getaways, beautiful scenery, family activities, waterfalls, museums, history, art, fishing, tubing, golf, and more. Something for every member of the family.
Festivals and special events include a hot air balloon race, Winefest, Volksmarch, Oktoberfest and Christmas parades, Fourth of July fireworks, and Bavarian Nights of Summer. From mid-September through October, Helen hosts the longest Oktoberfest in the South. Alpenfest offers entertainment during the Holiday season from Thanksgiving through December.
