Other Things to Note
I am leaving my personal Montreal guide with all the nice addresses I already tried and emergency numbers.
Yasmine's apartment is in the perfect location and was reasonably priced but unfortunately her building management was not ok with her continuing to rent out her apartment. This is a shame because her apartment is beautiful, clean and has all the amenities. I was put in an awkward position of arriving shortly after her building management had informed her she could no longer rent out her place and they did not want me there. To Yasmine's credit, she convinced them to allow me to stay, which was a huge relief because I had no other arrangements to fall back on! The apartment had not been cleaned since the building management would not let the cleaning personnel in so Yasmine agreed to refund me the cleaning fee I paid. I am still waiting on Air BnB to process this refund, as both Yasmine and I agreed upon it several days ago. The first night was rough - the concierge let me in to the apartment and told me that I would have to meet with the building management the next day so I could not leave the apartment again until then or I would be locked out. This meant I could not do the laundry or go and get food (despite having travelled all day and not had a chance to eat before arriving), leaving me with dirty linens from the last guests that were there. However, after meeting with the management the next day and getting the apartment keys, I went and bought laundry soap and did the laundry myself and it all worked out in the end. I feel bad for Yasmine because I know this was all out of her control and she was several time zones away so communicating was a little difficult, but she did the best she could under the circumstances. It appears from the other reviews that the building management had no problem with her renting out the apartment at first so I am puzzled as to why they suddenly said no and seemed surprised about the arrangement! It's a shame because this apartment was walking distance from everywhere I needed to be while in Montreal, it was usually very quiet, and was a very nice place to stay. If circumstances were to change and Yasmine were able to continue renting her apartment, I would recommend it.
Simply in two words- VERY GOOD!
Yasmine-very friendly and easy to communicate with. Her apartment is in a perfect downtown location. It's very neat and clean, roomy enough for 4 and with all amenities needed. Will stay there again next time around. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
what a wonderful appartment – everything is new and tidy, we immediately felt at home here. the 2 swimming pools are a great plus. it was also very quiet there.
Upon our arrival we had some trouble with the cleaning service, but Yasmine replied very quickly and helped us as much as she could from the distance to get it fixed.
if you ask the management (entering the building to your right), they offer a nice reduction for the parking inhouse
If you need any groceries and the inhouse store is still closed, go uphill and to the right, there is a subway store not too far (entrance looks a bit like a clubhouse).
Yasmine was very easy to coordinate with. Her place is well maintained with all the amenities you could ask for. This is the perfect location for any tourist visiting Montreal. Two thumbs up!
We loved the apartment! It was perfect for two people. Yasmine was very accessible before, during, and after our stay (responded to texts and emails quickly) and was eager to make sure our experience was positive. Parking at the apartment was affordable ($26 for three days) and the other numerous accommodations provided (a doorman, washing machines, weight room, etc) made the stay even more comfortable. The apartment is also located very close to the metro, banks, Mont Royal park, and shopping opportunities on Rue St Catherine. We would highly recommend this apartment!
