We just finished our New York trip which took two weeks. All this time we stayed at Doug's apartment and the experience was just great! The apartment was very clean, nice, exactly like at the pictures and in such a great neighborhood. Sometimes we returned to our apartment at 11 o'clock at night and it felt completely safe. Doug was a great host, extra helpful and very friendly. The apartment has everything you need including great wi-fi, umbrellas, towels, hair drier, you name it. I definitely recommend this apartment without hesitation!
The apartment is great. This was my first time in New York and I cannot think of a better location to stay, all kinds of shops or restaurantes just a few steps away. Easy to arrive by subway and easy to go to all the touristic places. Doug is a great host and I will stay with him again next time I'm back.
This was a terrific place to stay as it had easy access to manyparts of NYC. Doug was a most welcoming and helpful host . The information he left was comprehensive and useful . Our apartment was comfortable and made our time in really enjoyable . A terrific neighbour with bars, diners and and food and wine stores .
Doug was helpful carrying my cases up the stairs when I arrived and departed. He also came and cleaned the dusty areas I pointed out. Bathroom and windows could do with renovation

About the Host, Doug & Claudia
A little about us - Doug and Claudia met in late September 2001, and have been together ever since. Doug is originally from Wisconsin and Claudia is from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Our helper, little Olivia, is a native New Yorker.
We're both educated, neat professionals who've decided to make New York our home. Like you, we enjoy visiting new places whenever we can - Paris and Northern Spain last year. We're believers in what airbnb offers, and have enjoyed the hospitality we've received in the homes of others far more than anything that can be found in a five-star hotel.
