Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by our host. This is by far one of the best experiences that we have had traveling and utilizing airbnb. We were greeted with a hot cup of tea and cookies, which was absolutely wonderful, especially after a LONG day of traveling (and us being about 45 minutes to an hour late) The neighborhood was beautiful.
This was SUCH a wonderful place to stay. Eva and Bob were such sweethearts. The house was very home-y and breakfast was great each morning. Getting into downtown was easy and just about a 15 min ride on the 15 bus. Hopefully we get to stay there again!!!
Eva and her husband were really very friendly. They were available to support us with our needs. The rooms were comfortable and the area was quite and nice. Another good thing was the bus stop station, just in front of the house! Great!!
We left very early in the morning on our departure, at 4:30 am, nevertheless Eva and her husband were there to offer us a good breakfast, to assure the taxi was coming and to say us goodbye.
Thanks Eva and Robert !
We stayed with Rob's parents: Eva, Bob and Pixie (their adorable dog) were amazing. They were very sociable, we talked a lot and we enjoyed a very Irish experience with a very Irish family. The room is 20 minutes far from the centre of Dublin and it's connected very well with the 15 bus which stops just across the street. The rooms were small but they were ok, in the morning Eva and Bob made us a very typical Irish breakfast and they gave us tips and valuable information about Dublin and the surroundings. We definitely reccomend them!
We stayed with Rob’s parents, and think they are great! They were very kind and sociable, and we were able to exchange experiences about our lives and Ireland.
The room worked out very well for us, and we found that we could easily get into the Dublin, and that the area was quiet so we could rest when we were in for the night. We would recommend them to anyone staying in Dublin.
I would 110% recommend anyone to stay here when they were in Dublin. They made me feel like I was a part of their own family. They went above and beyond what I ever expected when I made the reservation. I was moving to Ireland for work and needed a place to stay for about a week until I could find more permanent place to live. I didn't know what areas around the city to look and they helped me in my search. They found other people who could help me: neighbors, friends, friends of friends. I think they even called in a favor. Ava drove me around the surrounding neighborhoods looking for a place.
Rob was also part of the tram. We talked for hours some nights about politics, current events, and he even had the patience to explain Irish football and hurling to me.
I'm sure most people aren't in my situation but this is a great place to stay to see the city. I didn't have a car but I could catch the 15 bus, which is 50 feet from their house, straight to Trinity College It's only €2.65 and takes only about 20 minutes. Its just a 5 minute walk south to a grocery store. If you walk north about 10 minutes, you have many more bus options (Or you can catch a cab if you want to). The neighborhood is safe and quiet. If you want to live, eat, and sleep breath the downtown area, this might be a bit of a hike for you. But to each their own.
If you come to Dublin and stay here, not only can you experience all of what Dublin has to offer, but you also get to see first hand how nice and truly genuine the Irish people are.
